Our stay at the Daniel's house has been wonderful! Patrick has been amazing before and during our stay! Amazing house and amazing hosts! Thank you for the experience!
While we didn't know the upstairs bathroom is shared, there were no other guests there at the time. Patrick and Adele are amazing. Super helpful and accommodating. Will give 10/10.
The property itself is incredible. The rich history of the land and the grounds themselves hold a welcoming and comforting inviting atmosphere upon arrival. The staff was amazing and acceptally accommodating to all of our numous questions as absurd as they might have been. The Marion room was beautiful and the picture really didn't do the magic of this place any true justice. The "secret" garden esqu patio. Is cozy and charming even in the blustery winds of Salem. And finding all enchantng inhabatince throughout the grounds was a very pleasant surprise.from the fairy gardens,to the upstairs "gard fish". This place was truly magical. And made our engagement weekend truly extra magical. Thank you Adele and Patrick for being incredibe hosts! Four thumbs up 10 stars would recommend to anyone! Thanks again and we will be back for sure đ€
My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect for walking to everything we wanted to see and on-site parking is a big plus. The place is impeccably clean and having a continental breakfast ready in the morning was a nice touch to start the day. Staying in the oldest house in Salem was a very cool experience.
The Daniels House is a great stay for anyone interested in the history of Salem, it has great historical details and feels lot a time capsule with lots of great little details
Gorgeous property! Super comfortable beds and soft linens. We had a shared bathroom but never saw the other guests so it felt private. Highly recommend!
This is a historic bed and breakfast in a great location. Room was fine and because its a historic hotel we had to share a bathroom, however this never posed a problem. The breakfast part was less than average. What is missing is the charm of staying in a historic B&B which typically means special touches and a warm host.
This was a very unique experience and we're so glad we got to stay here. I booked early to secure the great room. Very spacious room and bathroom. The property is very old but that's what was intriguing to us. Everything in Salem is walkable from here. Would highly recommend!
Perfect location for walking to everything. The house itself is so interesting and full of history. We stayed in the East India room and our beds were so comfortable and cozy. Beautifully decorated, quiet and relaxing. We loved that there were snacks and drinks available pretty much all day and evening as most places do not seem to open very early in Salem (and we are early risers). Would not hesitate to stay here again.
We really like staying at unique or historical properties. The Daniels house was both. The Hostess at breakfast was very friendly and helpful with our questions about parking for my brother who was coming to meet us. Would stay here again. The only con would be thevceiling height in the 3rd floor rooms.
More communication with the staff would have been better as well as making sure each occupant is doing what is ask. I understand sharing a bathroom in a colonial house is a hard thing but if you are making people follow rules then you should not book two families in that floor.
Great location, comfy bed but with a few downsides
I booked Danielâs House as it is the oldest inn in Salem but also because they offered free breakfast each morning so I thought that would save us money. It cost nearly ÂŁ200 per night and the bed was very comfortable, the room was big and both the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The only think that let it down for us was the breakfast. The bread and muffins were under a plastic lidded container but were left out all the time, and I found it all to be dry and slightly hard and even after toasting I just couldnât eat it. Coffee was good and there was fruit and cereal bars, but comparing to other places to stay in Salem, I donât think this was worth the ÂŁ200 per night seeing as we then had to buy breakfast each morning at one of the local eateries.
The location was great but they also charge a $10 baggage hold which ruined our plans for the day we left as we thought $30 to hold 3 bags was crazy, Iâve never had to pay for baggage storage before whether weâve stayed in hotels or B+Bs so we didnât and that meant we couldnât visit one of the attractions that weâd planned to
