Hôtel près de Bowood Playground, Calne, Calne

« Hôtel de passage se situant sur notre trajet (pour une nuit). Concept original avec cette chambre située dans la cour intérieure d'un pub-restaurant. Hôtel un peu vétuste (mais en travaux), à la limite de la propreté dans les communs mais bonne surprise avec une grande chambre refaite et meublée à neuf. Bonne literie et déco sympa. Petit parking intérieur et terrasse sympa. Petit déjeuner un peu gras, à l'image des odeurs émanant de la cuisine... Un bon rapport qualité pour une nuit. »

« I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting. »

« We stayed at Whitley Coach House to spend a few days in the area before attending a wedding in Frome. Tim and Ginny’s communication was excellent, and they were even kind enough to provide a travel cot last minute as we had ordered one ourselves that we didn’t think would come in time (although it did in the end). The coach house itself was spacious enough for the three of us, with everything one might need for a few days away. »

« Nous avons dormi avec une compagnie de moustiques. Des ongles humains sont coincés dans le rail de la fenetre... la poubelle n’était pas vidée... mais qui fait le menage ? Certainement une belle bande de dégueulasses. La tv et la télécommande ne fonctionnaient pas. Forcément le câble de l’antenne est trop court pour se raccorder. Comment avez-vous pu louer ce taudis ? C’est de l'escroquerie en bande organisée. »

« The room booking was wrong but rectified by Trey who did his best to help. The restaurant was closed Sat and Sun evening, even tho other guests had booked table to eat. The female receptionist on Sun morning could not have been less interested in our inquiries about the restaurant closure. The waitresses and other support staff were good and helpful.We suggest that a cover manager is employed while the Manager is on maternity leave. At the moment things are chaotic and i wont be staying there...
