We were generally pleased with the property, but I would probably have made a different property selection if I had known more before arriving. A street view search on Google only showed a vacant lot so we were flying a little blind upon arrival.
First - be aware if you are booking through VRBO - Mountain Homes, who is using VRBO to advertise their properties, is going to hit you with a mandatory damage Insurance policy on top of what VRBO lists in the summary. I didn't want or need the policy. I felt Luke from Mountain Home was condescending and generally unhelpful. I almost cancelled, but felt like it would cost me more to cancel and rebook elsewhere than to just pay the additional extortion fee of $75.
Next - this is essentially garage apartment in a residential neighborhood and not particularly close to any Bozeman area attractions except maybe MSU. It worked for us, but would have appreciated a better understanding of the property and neighborhood before arrival. The pictures (as usual) accentuate the positives and don't disclose the less attractive features. The unit was well furnished, but you might want to bring an extra bar of soap.
There is a connecting hallway that leads to another part of the property (house). There was another group renting that portion of the property and let's just say the sounds emanating from down the hall could be interesting and/or keep you from sleeping. depending on the hour.
The key box was well hidden and not particularly easy to find (it is on the deck railing opposite the door and down fairly low).
As I said the unit worked for us, but it wasn't exactly what I was expecting and the extra fee didn't sit well with me. I will look for something a little more suitable for the price on future visits.
