We love this cabin, the whole family enjoyed. Close enough from town that our kids don't mind the drive, but far enough that we can relax without the bustle of the city. This is our second stay at the Cozy Cabin Pond, check in and out was easy, kitchen is well stocked, along with extra blankets for those chilly nights. We would certainly come back again! Thank you for sharing your Cabin.

Little piece of Heaven

Looking for a cozy getaway in the woods , The Country did not disappoint. It was a stormy weekend which turned the already beautiful scenic area into a winter wonderland. Stayed cozy all weekend next to the fireplace, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, playing games & reading books. Looking forward to booking again soon and enjoying all that The country has to offer outside of the cabin. Highly recommend this place, all the necessities you need and more even down to seasonings for cooking. Don’t hesitate to book this place, you will not be disappointed!!

If your in need of relaxation, quiet time and distressing…..this is your location !

The cabin and area was not what we were expecting….it was much more. Lots of space and privacy, cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. We lacked for nothing, it was outfitted with mostly everything you could use. If we ever return, it will be for more than 3 nights.

Idyllic setting which is what we hoped for. Pity about the unsealed road that led to the property. Not the owners fault but in hindsight better to have hired a more robust car that would have coped better with the potholes. Would recommend the property to others as had everything and more that we needed, thanks

Great stay

We enjoyed the property and the communication was great. We really enjoyed the home. Loved looking out at the water. The rain did keep us from using the dock area. We were able to sit out there for a short while. We loved all the hiking available to us. Thank you for the wine. Everything was clean and we had enough supplies. The bed we had was comfortable and the wifi was fine.

The Country

Great weekend getaway!

Our family rented this cottage for 3 nights on Nov 11 weekend. The property was clean and homey , and had everything we needed. The check in and put process was easy and hassle-free. All the promised amenities were accurate, with a few additions (a complimentary bottle of wine and arrival snack, wifi). The days were perfect for quad ( our own) and canoe rides. The fireplace kept us cozy for evenings of playing games, watching movies, and reading. We relaxed, laughed, ate, drank, all the while feeling like we were staying at an old friends’ place. We cannot wait to visit again!

Highly Recommended!

We have enjoyed our Easter vacation at this beautiful 'Country Cabin'. The cabin was tidy, clean, comfy beds, and kitchen was well equipped like home from home. For our own convenience, we brought enough food from home for the duration of our stay at the cabin. We were overwhelmed by our welcoming gifts from Gordon and Linda. Thank you both for your thoughtful gesture for our lovely wine, strawberries, cheese and biscuits. We loved the log fire. Our cats loved to lie Infront of it, they were just too cosy. The surrounding view of the cabin was magnificent! A perfect getaway to de-stress in this transquil and peaceful place. We enjoyed the canoe that Gordon let us use and we used our own inflatable boats too. It was great to paddle around the lake, and fishing. We enjoyed a few nature walks in the area too. We are a family of 5 and 4 cats. We hope to have a chance to enjoy The Country Cabin again. MP

Awesome cabin, beautiful property on the pond and fantastic host.

We had a wonderful time at 'The Country'. Can't say enough about the cabin, the property and the host. All you'd ever need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Cabin is very nicely decorated with cozy reclining chairs and sofa, large fireplace and comfortable beds. The property is very well kept with a nice size deck with barbecue on back of the cabin, wooden boardwalk down to another large deck on the water, along with a boat launch and trampoline dock on the pond. Beautiful sunsets each night. Fire pit in large front lawn. Close to local restaurants and convenience stores; only 30 minutes from St. John's but tucked into the country, providing a very private piece of heaven. Gordon has thought of everything - well-stocked kitchen, large assortment of DVDs, CDs (with player), books and games, and wireless speaker for your IPOD or phone playlists, and free use of the canoe and fishing poles. Gordon is an incredible host - always immediately available if you have any questions and even provides some coffee and other treats. His goal is to ensure you have a comfortable, fun and memorable stay. When we're able to return to Newfoundland, we'll definitely stay here again. Just bring your clothes, food and any water toys or your ATV and you'll have a great time.

Relaxation!

Stayed at this beautiful cabin with close pals for New Year's Eve. Gordon was extremely welcoming, and we felt very much at home. There isn't much he hasn't thought of, right down to dog bowls for our pups, and some toys and Disney movies for our little traveler. The property is well maintained, clean, and very relaxing - the views are amazing, and we hope to see them in the summer time - the pond access looks great! Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for making our weekend fabulous!

Perfect weekend getaway!

The perfect cabin getaway! A very cosy cabin, with a beautiful view to wake up to in the morning. The cabin was filled with games, Books and movies to entertain us on a rainy night and a lovely fire pit area for a nice clear evening. Our host Gordon was great. He added personal touches as we were celebrating a birthday and was accessible for any questions. The cabin had everything that we needed for the weekend. We would highly recommend it for anyone's getaway.
