Payment was a bit unorthodox in that the management company (‘Olivia’ isn’t messaging you, it’s a management company likely interstate or overseas) asked for payment through a third party platform. I did take the time to check with Stayz before doing any payment outside of the Stayz platform and they did confirm that they monitor all transactions and so the payment was safe. All the same, I didn’t like registering my credit card with a third party. That said, I was able to contact managers with any questions, quite easily.
The check in was ok - but the key was located on a one way street with no parking, so I did have to drive around the block a bit until I finally parked somewhat illegally, to run and pick up the key.
The parking spot in the building is right next to the lift, which was amazing! Overall, the apartment was clean and tidy. The living room rug was quite a trip hazard though, as it didn’t fit with the furniture. The toilet roll holder has been fitted upside down so the roll keeps ending up in the floor. The towels had seen better days; the hand towel had a make up stain on it and one of the towels had a hole.
Nevertheless, the view was spectacular, the bed was comfy and we had everything we needed for a lovely stay at Southbank. Loved the little outdoor nook for dining! Returning the key to the lockbox was similarly fraught with parking issues. I took a photo as instructed but they didn’t check their email and i was called and messaged as a result
