Let me just start by saying that this property is one of the most beautiful buildings that Iâve ever had a chance to step foot in. It greatly exceeded my expectations, and the guest that I brought along with me thought the same. If the sun was out just a little bit more, we couldâve used a couple more of the amenities, a little bit more, but that does not take away from the overall experience, which was fantastic. Thank you to the host for being available whenever I needed assistance, even though it was rare. I look forward to using more of these properties in the future.
It was beautiful and well equipped for 18 people. It could easily handle more. The view was amazing and all the outdoor areas were perfect. We loved that the game room and bunk room were in a separate building but easily accessible with a covered breeze way.
A few things to be aware of:
There is no garbage disposal so keep that in mind when cleaning up after meals and using three appliances, such as coffee maker, oven, and griddle or slow cooker, popped the breaker. It was a little inconvenient when all of a sudden the power would go off. Also cell service is terrible in that area. We asked a local business why and they said when there were a large influx of visitors, that it overloaded the cell towers so they shut them done. It was inconvenient but for some people it would be extremely hard if you need to be available to the outside world.
It was a perfect trip and our family will remember it forever.
Our organization hosted our first retreat at Swimming with the Stars and had a great experience. There was plenty of communal space to move around and spread out for break-out sessions, large meetings, and meals. The view can't be beat and we enjoyed the single rooms. A gentle recommendation would be to put the number of beds vs the number the space that potentially sleeps, as our group were colleagues predominately over the age of 30. Overall we had a great time and highly recommend this place, especially to families. Even when a storm moved in during our stay and a few trees snapped that narrowly missed our vehicles, it still was quite a memorable and successful event.
To other groups traveling, we admit the directions are a bit cumbersome for our single-car drivers, as a few of our guests got lost, fortunately, the wifi allowed us to drop a pin to navigate everyone successfully.
For the owners: There was a stack of dirty dishes in the pantry we noted a few broken items we want to ensure we let you know about, we took photos to share if that is helpful; 1) an Adirondack 2) a foot rung in the upstairs bunk 3) two of the metal dining chairs were broken, one was missing a bolt and would break soon (we set them both aside) 4) paper towel holder falling off the wall in the back bedroom down the hallway
Mvto! (Thank you)
The property was absolutely beautiful and unbelievably peaceful. My family and I truly enjoyed the stay, all of the amenities and the peace that the environment provided.
This getaway brought us so much joy and tranquility. Definitely recommend for those looking for a relaxing escape.
Stayed here for 2 nights/3 days with business partners and customers and had a great time. The view of the sunrise couldn't be any better, the place was clean and had all the basic needs, had a great time. Would recommend and plan on coming back!
The cabin provided a cozy retreat for our two-day getaway. Nestled in nature, it offered tranquility and beautiful views. The interior was well-maintained, with a rustic charm and modern amenities. Overall, a delightful escape with beautiful interior and exterior. We will visit again!!
Stay was great! House was wonderfully designed/decorated! View was spectacular! Had enough space/beds for our group! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an Okie getaway! Looking forward to our next booking at this location!
This cabin was absolutely beautiful. It didnât disappoint on the home itself and the view. It did have some down falls, however. It was a ways out and thankfully I had memorized the door code to get inside since we were out of cell service. We got in but there was not paperwork left inside to give us any information on the house like the Wi-Fi passcode and unfortunately we wasnât able to check the online portal because we didnât have service. So I had to drive back in town until I had service and had to call management to ask for the password since it wasnât on the portal. So that would be helpful to your guests to have paperwork inside waiting like other cabins do.
When we looked around we noticed crumbs on the floor and feathers hanging out of pillows, sticky floors, flies everywhere like a door had been left open, cigarette butts on the patio stairs, cigarette lighters and some gym equipment left in the outdoor patio, a broken layout chair, & my mom had crumbs in her bad when she pulled back her sheets so unfortunately we didnât think their cleaning service did a good job cleaning or possibly didnât show up and management was unaware.
I also left my curling iron and let management know and I still havenât received anything letting me know theyâd get it back to me.
