The actual condo is certainly not what is represented in the ad. I was lead to believe I would be getting an ocean view condo with a large balcony. Instead I received a view of a noisy major road, with a tiny balcony you wouldn't want to sit on anyways as it's so noisy. The surrounding area is in a state of revitalization, and though it felt safe, there is a lot of construction, rough roads, and unwalkable sidewalks. The host was dismissive of my complaints and never even responded when I reported my balcony door lock was broken. The pool on the roof is nice and has a good view. The room itself was in good condition with all of the amenities I would expect though a safe would have been nice. This is a great destination for 55 looking to travel on a budget and aren't expecting resort like landscaping and maintenance. Lots of restaurants in the area so you won't starve, though the closest grocery store is a 35 minute walk away. There is a convenience store across the road.
