Glenda, I’m very sorry to hear you weren’t happy with the accommodations. I wish I would have known so I could have helped better your stay. I’ve had many guest stay at my cottages and have never had a bad review or complaints like this. I would like to go over some of the issues you had with the cottage. 1.) The AC has various settings and is designed to be turned down to as low as 58 degrees to counteract the summer heat. I was just there a couple weeks ago and it was very comfortable even though it was sweltering outside. There are also large ceiling fans in both bedrooms so I’m not sure why you needed your small portable fan? 2.) I’m not sure why you wanted to open the windows if it was hot outside but, I can assure you the windows do open. I had the window trim painted not to long ago and they can stick a little but they do open. I opened them not that long ago when the weather was still pleasant outside. 3.) As far as the doors not closing, that is news to me. I’ve closed those doors many times. Each door closes and locks for privacy. 4.) You are correct about the closet. One closet is a maids closet that we generally keep locked and the other is for guest to use. There should have been several clothes hangers in the closet. Also, the night stands in each bedroom has a empty drawer for putting clothes in if desired. 5.) It is the ozarks. There are bugs. If you leave the door open bugs may get in. As far as the tick goes, I’m not sure where you may have picked that up unless you went for a hike? 6.) The renter in cottage 4 during your stay is only there for a short period. He is an older retired gentleman that is staying a few months to visit family. I can’t apologize enough that he had a family member or friend perhaps over that was overly friendly and appeared drunk. I will certainly reach out to him and see what that was all about. 7.) I have a long term tenant in cottage 2 that loves to keep the deer around since I don’t allow pets she kind of treats the deer like there her pets. Most of my guest especially the kids love to see the deer and other wildlife that frequent the area. I’m not sure about the pitbull you’re referring too though? I don’t allow dogs on the property unless it was someone’s in the neighborhood that got out? 8.) There should have been a toaster in the upper cabinet. I’ll have my cleaner make sure it’s there next time she cleans. 9.) I’m sorry if you expected something bigger. I have 4 guest stays all the time with no issues.
