„There are apparently 'executive suites' which my wife viewed and thought were beautiful. There are also those that are less expensive and not executive. We stayed for four nights in the less expensive one. „If you like bird watching and going for a walk in a pristine nature, then it is probably the best place within a short distance from Entebbe airport. The easiest way to get to Buvi Lodge is by boat from Entebbe. Ask the hotel to send a boat to pick you up at the harbour, where the ferry goes to Nakiwogo. The resort is very isolated, but you do not have to worry about being ripped for money in the restaurant. I paid 10 US$ for a big pepper steak with fries and a pint of beer. The food is tasty ...

„The property is beautiful and serene, the front desk staff need a little more training as instead of checking for my bookings first asked me to prove that I had booked and paid online. In fact they assured me that I would be put out as all rooms were filled up, when I asked to talk to their manager is when they looked and found my name actually on the list. Otherwise my stay was lovely, I will go again with family n friends.“

„Avoid!! Hotel in great location and should have been nice BUT.... I don't normally write reviews but this place was a nightmare from the start. On my arrival at 10.30pm from the airport, reception showed me to a tiny dark room with no view rather than the double dulux with lake view I'd booked. They told me Expedia had not paid them enough, my booked room wasn't available and this is all I could have - what a scam! The place was empty and the excuse was an obvious lie. „Nothing on the website is similar to the actual hotel.Wrong picture,wrong name,I had to ask people who lived near the so called hotel to ask for the hotel but to no avail.Because no buddy knows any hotel with that name in that location.When I call the hotel nobody answered my calls or called me back.So I had to book another hotel after spending more than 3 hours waiting.I am disappointed that Expedia putting this kind of scam on the website.“

„The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, with good linen. There was plentiful hot water. The staff were all very friendly and De Rain, the owner was often around and very helpful booking trips. It had a very good kitchen. It is next to a busy road but I couldn’t hear it in my room and it didn’t affect my stay. It was so lovely being on the banks of Lake Victoria. “
