« The house was easy to find and only 6/7 mins walk into town ,the house was beautiful the photos don’t do it justice,the hot tub was a clean and hot ; the only down side was it could of done with some sort of lighting outside around the hot tub as we stayed at the end of Oct and it was dark around 7 o’clock ,otherwise we couldn’t fault anything else. »

« A well kitted, comfortable cottage that is centrally located in Buxton town centre. Renovated to a high standard. The shower is over bath by necessity, owing to the original dimensions of this cottage; slightly tricky getting in/out of the bath if you’re 6ft tall, though it can be done. « Lovely property with all the equipment needed for a relaxing holiday. Faye was very helpful when we asked for some scales to do some baking! Bedrooms are a little on the small side with no wardrobes, and it should be noted that the bunk bed room does not have a window. However, we had a great time with lots of walking directly from the house including Three Shires Head and Lud's Church. Great location with Buxton only 5 miles away. »

« We stayed in the house for a week with 6 kids aged 10 months to 12 years. The house itself was amazing with loads of space and activities for the whole family. The house is situated in a perfect location, close enough to walk into the town centre to take advantage of local parks, shops and bars/restaurants as well as being in the heart of the Peak District. For large families looking for a great place to get away together, I would strongly recommend this house. »

« Perfectly located large house-ideal for a very large party of family or friends, both adults and children. Free parking on the street. One bedroom on the ground floor so ideal for someone who can't get up the stairs. Plenty of crockery etc in the kitchen. »

« This property has character and is very close to the centre of Buxton. There are plenty of pubs in walking distance as well as take-out and a Sainsbury's local. We were a party of eight adults and it worked well. Everything was serviceable and good value for the price. Instructions were clear and Sue was attentive, making sure we had received all the information we needed. We had two cars and one fitted in the garage, which is suitable for a smaller car. « The place was quite small and very old fashioned, advertised as having a kitchen but that was outside and round a corner and none of the appliances worked and it was ill-equipped, I would not stay here and again and would not recommend it to anyone. « The cottage is nice and in a lovely position in Tideswell but I think you need to make people more aware that the garden has no grass and I dont think it is suitable for dogs. Also the stairs upto the bedrooms are very steep and slippy so really not suitable for older people. Other than that the cottage is lovely and if we didnt have our dog with us, would of been nice. »

« The location is great, yes the kitchen is outside, but its not a deal breaker, the kitchen was clean and tidy, previous comments suggested no heating in the bathroom, this wasn't the case, the property has full central heating and the water was very hot. Yes the decor is a little dated, but we used the property as a base, and weren't there to rate the standard of decor. Yes, the kitchen would benefit from an airfryer but again the fact that they didn't have one didn't spoil the trip. Would I use...

« Nice place to stay when visiting nearby towns, very spacious apartment which made for a very relaxed feel. Pleasant village with pub below. Handy having a kitchen as food options are limited. Noise from the pub wasn't too bad but it was quite noisy from the kitchen below the kids room, which had music on loud! We had to put kids to bed in the other room then move them back in later in the evening. »
