Gut: Sauberkeit, Ausstattung und Zustand der Unterkunft
The Marina Flamingo is very pretty, modern, clean, and a short walk to the beach. Our room was exactly like the images on the website. We had a kitchen, washer/dryer, and balcony overlooking the marina. There is a pool on the third floor which has towels you can also use for the beach. The pool area is open until 10 pm and has a ping pong table and small bar. You can find several restaurants on the 1st and 2nd floor, ATM, a couple of shops, and a pharmacy (which was helpful when I needed care for an injury). The cleaning staff is superb and our room was always impeccable. There are several secuirty guards throughout the property and the Flamingo beach area is pretty safe and good for a quiet relaxing beach vacation. You can request a golf cart from the property but we were informed that you must book it ahead of time. There is also a small supermarket, Massai, across the street which is a bit more affordable if you want to buy water and snacks. Amigos tacos is also nearby if you want a quick bite and one of our favorite breakfast spots, Hibiscus, is great for smoothies and bowls. The beach is a short walk from these places but there are no sidewalks on the path to the beach so becareful with the cars and rocks on the floor. Flamingo beach is beautiful with crystal clear water and white sand. There is also a night market with local vendors on Monday nights. Everything in the area closes pretty early, around 9-9:30 pm. If you want night life, head over to Tamarindo. Pura Vida!
