« Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but...

« The property was very nice and the check in process was easy. It would be good to have a car because Uber and car share services do not work in Varenna. The taxi service is a little sporadic and expensive. The train station is a long walk as is town. The view was great with plenty of space. I would rent here again but only if i had a car »

« Overall no complaints except the location. If you are looking to go to Milan, this place is kind of far away from downtown Milan. It is very difficult to find a taxi/uber from this location. The place itself is excellent. Good communication with owner. »

« An enjoyable stay. Very nice for our group of 6, with the open kitchen being an incredible bonus when sharing meals at the loft. Whilst being so close to the station might scare some people, we didn't have any issues. We recommend ! »

« POGNANA LARIO est un village étonnant, pittoresque à souhait. Des vieilles maisons accrochées à une forte pente. Habitations construites pour beaucoup avec des énormes pierres, qui se faufilent entre des sentes étroites pavées de galets, où l’on se perd le premier jour, mais d’où on apprécie la vue sur le lac dès le deuxième jour.Si vous venez en voiture, une petite auto est recommandée car les routes sont souvent étroites et les virages raides. « This is a beautiful house and stay -- my only advice to be very exact about *which city and plaza* you meet the property manager at, as we had the wrong Santa Maria plaza entirely! Other than that, a truly magical building, waterfall, and stay. »

« Came all the way from the United States to Milan, and had this stay confirmed by VRBO. I arrive at the property, only to have a mean security guard yell at me and telling me "that my stay was not valid." I then called the host, only have her say that "this stay is no longer available." I was then stuck in Milan without a place to stay. What a nightmare! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! »
