The moment we arrived until we left the homeowner harassed, threatened, bullied and verbally abused all 15 of us, 8 adults, 7 of my precious grandchildren. We have stayed at several VRBOs and NEVER had such a horrific experience! After calling and sending photos to the homeowner all of the unsanitary and broken items within house of arrival, his behavior escalated. Their visit the next morning, our planned stay went down from there. Manager’s husband barged into children’s room, threw their toys and covers off the trundle beds covered in urine stains from previous guests. Over the next 5 days the homeowner came unannounced 4 plus times and brought 4 others to the property. He escalated with his wife and came inside the home and berated us. Photos of damaged and black mold provided upon matter, After seeing the place neglected and mentioned mold. We planned sightseeing away daily for 10 hours. We really tried to leave and book a house elsewhere. We failed to find it during Christmas season. The homeowner was constantly argumentative and presented unwanted presence around children. He’d say “you are the worst renters, you have terrible review on VRBO”. He was unnerving mentioning with texts about watching us, admitted privacy intrusion. His claims of neighbors with the spotted swimming found untrue directly with them in conversation. Homeowner didn’t want a poor review, so he tried bribing us, offering 2,000 cash, free 3 day boat use and all the champagne we wanted. BEWARE
