sehr weit weg
sehr weit weg, man sollte mit Auto unterwegs sein. Bushaltestelle ist Endhaltestelle und wird auch nicht immer angefahren. Man läuft von dort auch auf der Straße und muss sich an den Autos vorbeischleichen, gibt keinen Fußweg zum Hotel

Ganz tolles Hotel für Autofahrer
Das Hotel befindet sich in einem Gewerbegebiet ohne Busanbindung. Falls man zu einer Bushaltestelle möchte muss man über eine versteckten Trampelpfad gehen. Nicht zu empfehlen bei Nacht. Das Hotel an sich war absolut passend. Das Sofa im Zimmer hatte nur echt ekelhafte Flecken und somit konnten wir nichts darauf legen. Sonst mit allem zufrieden

exactly what you would expect of a hotel
It took me some time to get the right exit in the numbre of turn-abouts to get to the IBIS - a few signs would help - and the numbre of parking lots was limited. Though I arrived at 7pm (check-in is open at least till 11pm) there were only 2 left. The check-in was easy, the room spacious, well equipped and clean. The bed was comfy. The bathroom is up to date, clean and I enjoyed a hot shower without having to wait for hot water a long time. There is a good selection of hot and cold breakfast options. Hot drinks were provided by a machine and the food restocked regularly. The staff is helpfull and friendly. WLAN was available and stable in my room though I heard complaints from another guest.

Liegt im Außengebiet von Cardiff. City Centre ist aber nur 20 Minuten entfernt. Das Hotel ist sehr simpel eingerichtet. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist aber top. Frühstück gabs für 7 Pfund.

Empfehlenswert
Das Hotel liegt an einem Rasthof und man kann von dort aus schnell in die Innenstadt gelangen . Trotz der Lage an dem Rasthof war es sehr ruhig und nur wenig Verkehr. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gepflegt, Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und man bekommt täglich neue Bettwäsche und Handtücher. Das Fernsehen im Zimmer bietet sogar einen deutschen Sender. Das Hotel Personal ist sehr freundlich und behilflich. Die Rezeption ist 24/7 besetzt. Frühstück muss man morgens bezahlen und ist leider bei der reise nicht dabei buchbar sondern nur täglich an der Rezeption zu buchen. Das Frühstück ist ein Continentales Frühstück und zusätzlich kann man auch das Landestypische Frühstück wählen. Das Hotel verfügt leider auch nicht über ein Restaurant, aber schräg gegenüber von dem Hotel ist ein Restaurant was sehr gut und günstig ist. Der einzige Nachteil ist das das WIFI nicht kostenlos ist und es kostet pro Tag 9 Euro, was ich persönlich recht teuer finde. Es gibt in der Lobby ein Internetzugang der 1 Pfund kostet für 20 Minuten, aber wenn man nur einen schnelle Auskunft bekommen will aus dem Internet kann man auch an der Rezeption fragen die schauen dann kostenlos im Internet nach.

Bett: dünne Matte mit Leintuch auf einer ekelhaft schmutzigen, nicht abgedeckten Matratze. Zimmer: Teppich entspricht der Matratze, somit ist das Tragen von Schuhen empfehlenswert. Sehr veraltete Einrichtungen. Bad: ebenfalls veraltet, einigermassen sauber. Lage: Ausserhalb der City, direkt an der Autobahn. Trotzdem ziemlich ruhig.

The hotel was all we needed for our concert in Cardiff but a word of advice. if you need a taxi into town use uber . Taxi company number given by reception The taxi didnt turn up dispite being reassured by company twice it was minutes away. Gave up after an hour late

On arrival the lobby was like the Mary Celeste, having waited for about ten minutes eventually had to shout out until a staff member finally appeared. Check in took a bit of time as the staff member had very limited English, but we were then allocated a room which, as soon as we opened the door, were hit with an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke (despite this being a fully non-smoking hotel). We were allocated a different room when we brought this to the staff member's attention, but he seemed to take this as a usual occurrence- no apology or explanation. The second room had only one towel for two people and the only drinking water glass in the bathroom had obviously been sat there for quite a while as it was mouldy! We were given a second towel and two clean glaases by the only staff member we saw that day. On returning to the hotel later in the evening the one man show informed us that the bar was closing in five minutes (it was 22:44) despite the Accor website stating the bar and restaurant were open 24 hours a say. Ordered a couple of pints of Stella and were presented with two nowhere near full glasses of flat cloudy yellow liquid. When we questioned the appearance of the drink he said it was normal and the cloudiness wasn't opaque but was, in fact, the "reflection" (of what, I dont know! He also said that the draught Corona was the same. We ended up having a couple of small bottles of Peroni (at £4.25 each). No hot breakfast in the morning, just "Continental" at £7.

Frequently use this location for work when in Cardiff. Sometimes arrive in the early morning so a helpful front desk is appreciated. Kudos for the electric charger as well.

Staff friendly and obliging. Improvement in the number of staff front of house could be considered. When there was a queue of people waiting to be checked in only 2 on duty and therefore no one was available to serve customers waiting at bar and food counter!

Functional, but unloved.
The rooms are tired, but clean and comfortable. The TV wasn't working in the bar area. Apparently, it's been like that for a while! We had to wait about 10 minutes at reception before someone arrived at check-in.

Saving gone mad?
Breakfast on Sunday night was a bit poor and not worth £12 per person. No eggs, hot items were cold, everything needed to be asked from the team (who were busy but always happy to help). Felt like the business tries saving money desperately.

Very pleasant stay and clean hotel. Staff very friendly although no my very confident in their jobs. Clean and spacious but significant damage around the room that had not been fixed. A solid choice in a convenient place by the motorway.

I was awaken at 7.00 a.m. by a dreadful smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. I got up immediately, dressed and left. I did unfortunately need the toilet. Left without cleaning my teeth or getting a drink. As I did not get to bed until late I would probably have slept until 8.00 a.m. and taken my time getting ready to leave. I also had difficulty in finding the hotel as it is not clearly sign posted. If one is driving and navigating at the same time, the drivers attention must firstly be on the driving. My sat nav did take me to the furthest part of the business park. If this is happening with other people you can contact the sat nav owners and ask them to correct this which they can do. I would suggest that the one post code does not cover the whole area.
