„The house is beautifully secluded but still very central for visiting the sights. The Faxifoss is on the doorstep. We, 2 families of 8 people, spent 6 nights in this villa. the view is breathtaking. there was plenty of space for everyone. A big plus are 2 bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower. Agni is a great host who responds to my messages quickly and goes to great lengths to make you feel completely comfortable. If we are in this area again, we would rent the house again. thank you ...

„We loved our stay - right in the water! Views were amazing, kitchen was well stocked and the rooms comfortable. There are only 3 bedrooms though - but plenty of beds. We had one upset teen who had to sleep in the family room which was a bummer. But the house is nice and the private guest house was a great quiet space. “

„Photos can not capture the beautiful scenery at the villa. You are surrounded by nature and the view of the Northern Lights surrounds the area when they are dancing. Our teens, young adults, middle-aged, and senior family members were all able to enjoy the spacious layout. Travel to local sights is easy and worth it in order to be in the tranquil quiet by the lake. I highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful hosts.“

„Our stay was super relaxing. The home was actually better than expected. And communication with the host was quick and responsive. We had no issues whatsoever. The little town was great. Had some nice options for dinner. We really used the home as base camp as we explored as many areas within Iceland that our brief time allowed. Highly recommend and we would be happy to stay here again.“

„We had some amazing views of sunrises in this house and a great/relaxing time in the hot tub that is outside the house. The house is perfectly located as a starting point to visit a lot of places of the golden circle and beyond e.g. just 15min away from the secret lagoon (a must visit!). Everything was very clean and the kitchen was very well equiped. Try to buy groceries either in Selfoss or 7 min away in Reykholt (small grocery store). The neighborhood is very quite. A great place to enjoy ...

„Ein sehr gepflegtes Haus mit komfortabler Ausstattung in wunderbarer, ruhiger Lage mitten in der Natur. Es war alles vorhanden, was für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt notwendig ist. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war hervorragend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.“

"Absolut tolles Hotel an ausgezeichneter Lage um den Golden Circle zu entdecken. Mit Ausnahme der Mitarbeiterin beim Check-in total freundliche Mitarbeiter. Gutes Essen, wenn auch ziemlich teuer, zum Dinner. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstücksbuffet. Das für diese grosse Anzahl von Gästen nur eine Kaffeemaschine zur Verfügung steht ist allerdings schon merkwürdig und sollte doch einmal angepasst werden. Die logischerweise entstehenden Schlangen davor sind tlw. schon sehr störend."

"What a wonderfull place to end my journey in Iceland. Very modern, clean and cozy. Staff is super friendly and helpfull. Perfect place to relax after a long road trip before going back home. The highlight is definitely the hottub on the rooftop! Make sure to check it out. Or have a drink in the hangout area and meet other travellers on their journey"

"Wir hatten zwei ordentliche Zimmer in der obersten Etage. Typisches modernes Stadthotel in sehr guter zentraler Lage, insbesondere direkt an der Einkaufsstraße Laugavegur. Wir hatte Zugang zum Balkon und damit eine tolle Aussicht- allerdings ist es kein privater Balkon sondern für alle auf der Etage zugänglich. Frühstück ist ok, aber nes fehlt die besondere Note und es war aufgrund vieler Gäste etwas hektisch. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen einen der wenigen kostenlosen Parkplätze im Innenhof des Hotels-superpraktisch mitte in der Stadt. Gegenüber wäre aber auch ein Parkhaus gewesen."

"Perfect location at the harbour and the nicest hotel I stayed so far in Reykjavik. Great and friendly staff, supportive and created a great vibe. The room was excellent. Great style and elevated detailing. We moved to the Retreat close to Grindavik and had a wonderful time at both places. They will definitely see me again. "
