It is important to note that this house was originally built as an Inn in 1714 if I remember correctly, so it is over 300 years old. It has had a lot of modifications since then, but what you are getting is an opportunity to essentially sleep in a museum. There are various things throughout the house that might leave you scratching your head, crooked door frames and light switches that are in weird places, and obviously there is wear-and-tear on floors and walls, but it all contributes to the experience. I will say that there is 1 bedroom without a door, and a couple of bedrooms that you have to walk through to get to other bedrooms, but if you are going with a family, it is easy enough to shut some of the doors to keep a level of privacy. When we booked, there was a hot tub listed in the amenities, but there is not a hot tub at the house. We checked in with the host about this, as well as some other questions, and she was always prompt and helpful in her responses, and very apologetic for the mistake with the listing (which she said she was trying to fix). It was great working with her since she was as helpful as possible whenever we communicated.
