Castillo Árabe von Olvera

Warm welcome from the receptionist. The rooms were clean and tidy. Some things around the property were not working for example the toilets and showers. Not enough sunloungers or parasols. It was so peaceful until children were cannonballing into pool. No staff available at the pool bar. Very slow service from the inside bar. Food at dinner was very good quality. Knowledgeable waiter at dinner. Great to be able to play tennis. Lots of parking available. Could have been so peaceful, shame about the guests!

On the plus side the apartment was great, quiet and cool. It had what we wanted and it was well situated so nothing was too far too walk. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. On the minus side, the listing on the Hotel site was a bit misleading. The first photo is of the beach entitled View from property - which was one of the reasons I chose it. The apartment is in the middle of a set of streets with no view at all. The host does not speak English - though Google translate worked fine and she was very helpful. Finally the listing says free parking. There isn't any parking at all! There is a station car park 2 minutes away at 16EUR per day.
