We had such a wonderful stay at this charming waterfront home. The house is cozy, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, with so much character throughout — especially the gorgeous stained-glass windows that frame the water views perfectly.The private dock was a huge highlight for us. It was peaceful and scenic, perfect for morning coffee, sunset views, and just soaking in the quiet coastal atmosphere. The location felt tucked away and relaxing while still being convenient to nearby attractions and town.The home itself felt welcoming and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. You can tell the owners take pride in the space.We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful waterfront escape.

Wonderful views and great location

family vacation

We stayed with our family for several days over the New Year's Holiday. The house is well equipped with modern appliances and close to the center of town but with a beautiful view of the bay. Chincoteague is a very nice place. We had a great time.

Cozy Waterfront Cottage

Perfect location for a family of four to six to vacation on Chincoteague Island. House was quiet inside even when vacationers arrived for the weekend. The sunsets over the water across the street from this house and on the pier are spectacular. The only recommendations that I would make to improve your guests vacation experience at this rental would be to replace the uncomfortable and worn sofa in the living area and uncomfortable queen mattress in the bedroom downstairs and three of the four twin mattresses in the bunk room upstairs. We had a few issues with the rental at the beginning of our stay that the property manager addressed in an expedient manner. Overall it was a nice vacation at Island Sunset.

perfect home for a Chincoteague getaway

Great views and great amenities. We enjoyed the dining table on the porch overlooking the bay. The dock was perfect for launching our kayaks.

Cute little house, great view of the sunset!

We stayed for a week. The location afforded us a beautiful breeze through the house (keep in mind, this was May, not August). The house was cute and cozy. We loved the view of the water from the sunroom, especially at sunset.

Nice Getaway

Nice house that was very clean. Instructions for entry were less than helpful as it took a phone call to find the key box. A lot of nice new furnishings, except for the living room chairs and sofa which were not suited for our lounging lifestyle. Not a shred of Toilet paper to be found, which after 6 hours in the car was disappointing. Also arrived to a chirping carbon monoxide sensor that required a visit from maintenance. No internet access until our 3rd call on the matter - finally was reset on the second day. I mention these things because with a little attention to detail, most could have been avoided. Location is great! Kitchen was well-appointed. Overall, a nice place and we enjoyed our getaway.

Very nice home. Spotlessly clean but no internet when we arrived

Very nice home with a great view of the water and near to all the attractions. My only problem upon arrival was there was no internet when we arrived on Sunday. I contacted the owner and they sent a technician out Monday Afternoon. According to the technician, the internet had been down for over 4 days. It was a rainy Sunday and Monday. I also planned to telework from there and had to end up missing a day of work because of this. They said this was checked, but from the technicians report, I don't think they did this before we checked in. You had to pay extra for linens as well so we had to bring our own.

Beautiful View + Lovely Property = Perfect Vaction

My wife and I hadn't been to Chincoteague in 8 years and decided to come back and chose to stay in a rental house instead of a hotel. We couldn't have made a better decision. The house itself is charmingly beautiful, nice sized bedrooms, a great kitchen, and a nearly perfect location. We can't say enough about the view and spent many sunsets out on the dock. (A previous review said to bring chairs but no worries, there were 2 adirondack chairs waiting for us.) The neighborhood was quiet and we even met a couple of the nice neighbors. It's quite far from "town" but if you're up for a longish walk it's not too much of an issue. We had a problem with the internet going out on our last day, but customer service was lovely and tried their best to address the issue, which was by no fault of their own. Our only minor complaints would be the old couch and the queen mattress in the upstairs bedroom, both of which seem like they need replaced. We used the downstairs bedroom and slept well. We look forward to coming back for an even longer stay soon!

Great week!

House was great, communication was great, location was great! Had 1 issue and they sent someone out promptly! Only item to mention was outside shower wasn't working but it did not affect our week at all. Would definitely use Seaside Vacations again and would also rent this house again.

Fun house for fishing and crabbing on main street.

This is an updated classic house with modern style. Very clean and everything works. Modern appliances and heating cooling. Fishing pier/dock is in good shape. I would not try to fit 8 people though. 4-6 people is good.
