« Cabin on the water was lovely & the balcony a great feature although needed an umbrella & seat cushions. Unfortunately the bar & terrace area was taken over by a golf presentation so a little disappointing as very limited free seating & early closing for bar & food provision. Huge stain on the bedroom carpet, bathroom door hard to close & a very noisy toilet seat! Plenty of parking & a quiet night’s sleep. It was close to our planned event but wouldn’t stay again. »

« Stayed in the mews which was a side annex. Great good sized room along with good sized bathroom with powerful shower over a bath. Clean crisp bedding. Attentive staff Great stay »

« Stayed in the Moon Gazer gypsy caravan. It has ‘lived’ but is cute, quirky and the bed/bedding was lovely. Quiet and private with a bird song orchestra we had lovely weekend drinking locally brewed ale/cider and listening to local ‘turn up and play’ folk musicians. Superb weekend all round. »

« Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. The bathroom had been shoehorned in under a sloping ceiling - there was no shower, just...

« The property was really well located, checkin quite early, with no problem from there side. The room was really clean, bed was good, bathroom had everything and loved the shower. Tom was really helpful, informative, gave us a bit of history of the building, which was fascinating. Included Breakfast was simple, but very good, and you could have ordered from the kitchen at an extra cost. Will definitely recommend. »

« Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is amazing in all respects. It’s historical and very attractive set in extensive grounds. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The staff are lovely and very helpful. I only had one meal in the hotel and it was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, it’s great. »

« nous sommes restés deux jours dans cette auberge de campagne proche de startford. facile d'accès au milieu de la campagne. par contre le long d une route qui engendre beaucoup de bruit la nuit. la chambre étaient au dessus des cuisines la aussi bruyante.La propreté de la chambre était médiocre. lit moyennement confortable. Le pub/ restaurant du bas était par contre tres bien, le personnel très acceuillant et la nourriture bonne. »

« Very nice stay at the Lodge - we were in the Hare room which is big and very comfy. I picked up the Lodge because of all the positive comments and I am definitely not disappointed - highly recommend this place. »
