Even before booking, the host was responsive and gracious. As someone who LOVES Costa Rica and visits as often as possible, I know how hot it can get. I was worried that the 74F degree limit on the AC might not be cool enough for me. The host took their time to chat with me about it. The host's responsiveness and friendly tone in all communications, continued throughout our visit. The unit was superb!! wonderful space, we never touched the AC as the unit always felt refreshing and cool. Having a standing oscillating fan was a helpful additional cooling capability for sleeping. The beds were super comfortable, the linens were luxurious, the beach towels were huge and of wonderful quality, as were the sturdy yet easy to carry beach chairs. We couldn't always find a place to sit in the shade at the resort pools (only temporarily each day). Although the community staying at Pacifico made good use of the pool - it never felt crowded, we always felt like we had a bit of space for ourselves :) it was decadent yet we felt comfortable. While the walk to the beach occasionally felt long in the heat - it was very doable and only 11 minutes (we timed it:) and the reward on each side of the walk was cool refreshing water whether in the ocean or the resort pools. I cook often and the kitchen was well stocked (dull knives but that seems the norm). It was nice to know that we could leave any extra food and the hosts would ensure it would be given to those in need.
