« The host is very communicative and responds to questions in a timely manner. They met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property and where things were and how they worked. They are also very generous as we had lost power at our house to recent storms and they let us check in a little earlier than the stated check in time. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to just sit back and relax. We caught a lot of little catfish and a few small baby bass off the well lit dock....

« We stayed at cedarhousetx for my daughter’s SHSU graduation. The house was the perfect size for our 4 adults. Everything is current. The house has an older vibe, but with all the latest and best tech. The bathtub is incredible, it may be worth a trip to Huntsville just for the claw foot tub. Lots of deck area for entertaining, and it has an immaculately cared for propane grill. There is a turntable with some vinyl records available to help set the mood. « Could be a nice place but not well maintained and not cleaned well at all. Has all the necessities and is in a nice quiet neighborhood and fine if you are coming just to fish and don’t want to drive anywhere. Good for people who don’t care about any of the above and just want a place to sleep between fishing. Random food remains like cereal and nuts and used napkins under ottomans (someone obviously vacuumed around furniture without moving ). Whatever cleaner was used on kitchen floor...

« The only sad thing that only God could control was how low the lake was ... but we drove down to the boat ramp and walked along the beautiful sand beach. The house was much cleaner this time. »

« My husband and I came to get away and relax and it was perfect for that. There was a little beach right off the back of the house where we could put our chairs and stick our feet in the water and listen to the “waves” that lapped so peacefully against the walls. Not sure if that’s always there or we just lucked out with the right water level. It was so perfect we couldn’t help but want to share it with our kids so they came for the final day. The neighbors were super friendly to us and our kids....

« The property was beautiful and it was very relaxing overall. The only problem we had was bugs. They were swarming at the front door, dead at the front door and once inside they were on the ceiling. Consequently, my wife and I spent the first couple of hours cleaning up bugs. I found out that they were coming in from the window unit. I reported it to the owner and i was able to close up the area where they were coming in which made the rest of the stay worthwhile. Like I stated earlier the place...

« This is a wonderful home with a sunrise view while drinking coffee. Great 3 bedroom with extra beds. We had fun on the lily pad. Our granddaughter caught her first catfish from the boat dock. The three deer walking across the road at dawn and dusk seemed like a dream. We will definitely be back. ❤️ »

« We were more than 12 people stayed in here, overall, our experience was very nice but there are couple areas, like garage, decks, windows need your attention. The property manager was quick to respond to messages while we were at the location, which is appreciated. They bought a new grill and water hose on our request. Overall, this property offered a great value, and we enjoyed a lot. We would return again. »
