We stayed at this condo for a month. The location is excellent—close to the beach, restaurants, all the fishing spot’s and 20 minutes from Port Aransas—and the property looks just like the photos on Vrbo.Unfortunately, the condition and maintenance of the unit did not meet expectations for a rental of this type or duration. Cleanliness was below standard and did not reflect the quality shown in the listing.There were also ongoing maintenance issues that should have been resolved prior to our stay. The dishwasher, ice maker and hairdryer did not work, and we were informed that the previous renter had experienced the same problems, yet they had not been fixed. The dishwasher leaked twice, and management was notified. After a third leak, housekeeping intervened and cleaned out standing, foul-smelling water from the bottom of the unit. Housekeeping deserves recognition—5 stars for their prompt response and handling of the situation—but this should not have required repeated escalation.In addition, the sofa is significantly worn and in need of replacement, and the wicker dining chairs require repairs and updated seat cushions.Given that these issues were known and not addressed in advance, it was disappointing to experience them during an extended stay. While the location and overall appearance are strong positives, the lack of proper maintenance and cleanliness falls short of expected standards and should be corrected.
