« I stayed in a cottage in Shambala Estate on a relaxed drive up to Cairns from Melbourne with my two dogs. It was simply beautiful. When I opened the door it smelt great, there was soft music playing and it looked gorgeous. My stay was relaxed and comfortable in a beautiful and clean room. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend. »

« The fireplace and its abundant supply of wood created a cosy fire which kept us nicely warm. The cottage has a sunny back porch which was delightful to sit on looking at the beautiful green grass or to use the BBQ wiich we did. Only thing we would have liked was a good quality light to read by - we often find this is a missing component for keen readers. »

« The reception staff told us they would leave our keys on the door lock for our late check-in. They weren’t there (thankfully, our door was unlocked). The room smelled like old perfume as if they were trying to conceal some bad smells… There was no AC, so it was quite hot at night… The kitchen had a pizza oven, a BBQ, but somehow, no cutlery/plates/etc??? When we wanted to do our checkout, there was no one at the reception even though it was supposed to be open… The only positive things are that...

« Self-check-in made our drive down easy and stress-free. The room was exactly as pictured online, clean, cosy and comfortable. The owners were friendly and accommodating, with great local recommendations. We loved the quiet location, proximity to eateries and Port Macquarie, and would happily stay again. »
