Check in was extremely easy, directions were easy to follow. Cabin was so peaceful with all the amenities you could need. Loved having our morning coffee and breakfast on the patio and our daily visits with Chico the dog and fluffy kitty. Would definitely recommend.
From the hop she wasn't great with communication(trying to book a trail ride with her ect) but she said that there was a family issue, so obviously my expectations in early days were low. Upon arrival we realized there was no house key or Door pad to ensure that our items would be secure in our place. When I asked her about it she said it's a safe area which didn't comfort me, but at that point it was late in the game on the long weekend and there was not many places to stay. There was a leak under the bathroom sink which ruined my makeup (she gave back 160.00) she never showed up to deal with it. I put a pot under the sink which filled up quickly. She left us with one roll of toilet paper, no coffee machine (kerig but no coffee pods)brought machine on last night & filters and no coffee!! We were very far from any grocery store and it would have taken nothing to provide that. There was two adults and one child when we pulled out the hideabed we realized there was no extra pillows I asked her for some pillows she said there was "already some on the bed" which was obviously left for that one bed. When I persisted she came to the door with 1/4 attitude & 2 pillows (pillows oddly matched the curtains in the cabin). The last night the power & water went out which is totally out of her control.-she could have easily messaged on the app, as we were out. I had to ask for her lighter at dusk for tea lights. Had to use washroom outside. Also no fire alarm or curtains! I have bites!
Cabin was very well designed will a most comfortable bed, well functioning kitchen and excellent bathroom. The views were amazing with good privacy. Small issues with the coffee maker and bbq but not a huge deal.
Loved everything about this cabin - inside and the trees, Mountain View's, seclusion, etc. would definitely recommend this cabin. If we are ever back this way again we will make plans to stay here again.

Cozy and beautiful cabin on a rural property near Bull river. We stayed 4 nights while skiing at Fernie (65 km, 30-40 min drive), it was a quiet and peaceful place to stay. Dan and Simone were friendly and helpful. I had trouble making it up the icy driveway in my front wheel drive car, but after Dan plowed and sanded, there was no trouble. We loved our stay, hopefully weâll be back next year!
I terrific location on a ranch in the Rocky Mountain Trench at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains! We particularly enjoyed seeing the animals and the hosts were very friend!
We loved staying here!
The cabin is really great - spacious, clean, rustic feeling with all the modern things you want or need - perfect! The property is easy to find, beautiful and private. We loved the horses and especially the donkeys - they all visited with us!!
What really turned out great for us was how close we were to so many great rivers, streams and lakes for fishing - and swimming when you're done fishing! Fernie is nearby so we went into there to walk around, check out the fly fishing shops and to buy anything we needed. It's a great place to spend some time - but it was even better to leave there and go back to the cabin and the rivers and lakes up there! We did most of our fishing within 15-20 minutes of the property!
The hosts are really great and everything went perfectly for us! I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants some peace and quiet and to make some new donkey friends!!
We stayed for three nights on this lovely property abutting the Kootenay River, surrounded by horses, donkeys, elks, and the great outdoors. The interior of the cabin is absolutely lovely with vaulted ceilings, original artwork, an attractive seating area, and a super comfortable bed. It was one of the prettiest places we stayed.
While the heat was unrelenting, the fan provided some relief and did not detract from the beauty of the surroundings or the kind hospitality of Simone and Dan.
While we came to the area to fish the Elk River, there are many other things to do beyond fishing, hiking and swimming. There are also some great restaurants in the area and absolutely stunning natural beauty. We highly recommend this property and our hosts.
The area was so beautiful and immaculate. Horses constantly close by made for a picturesque view. Simone was very attentive, making sure we had what we needed. I would absolutely stay again!
The cabin is very comfortable, roomy, well laid out and equipped. Great shower & kitchen. The pictures on the website are great, but the cabin itself is greater. The hosts, Simone & Dan, were very friendly and helpful. The animals around the ranch were spectacular, as is the setting. Highly recommended.
Very cute, clean, and functional cabin with beautiful scenery to take in while lounging on the back patio by the wood fire stove. Nearby river and trout hatchery with a tourist centre are nice to visit. Cranbrook is just down the highway if you need anything as well. Very friendly hosts and horses on site if that interests you. We had a very lovely stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the ranch. The property had all the ammenities we wanted and was cozy as well. Easy check in process. Great place to stay while hiking. Would come back again.
It was absolutely perfect. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and the whole trip was amazing. We brought our inflatable boat and spent a day boating at Norbury Lake a short 15 minute drive followed by a visit to the local Bull River Inn neighbourhood pub. We went horseback riding with the owner Simone and followed it up by cooking on our fire pit. 3 beautiful nights under the stars with a nice hot fire was like Heaven on Earth. If youâre thinking about going, stop thinking and just go; it is 100% worth it, itâs quiet, the bed is comfy, the locale and scenery are amazing, itâs clean and cozy, it has all the amenities and thereâs plenty to do. What else do you need?
Itâs a little slice of Paradise and my girlfriend and I are so grateful to have been able to experience.
Thank you Simone for the opportunity to stay here and for taking us out on your horses, weâre very excited for the next time.
Cheers,
Josh and Rati
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this lovely cabin. It was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals and we had a very enjoyable bike ride along the gravel road that runs in front of the property. I loved the fact that the horses came to see us every morning and that the 2 mini donkeys raced us as we road by on our bikes. So funny! I highly recommend this property and the host is great as well.
