Wonderful property with high end finishes and decor. Perfect beach, great porch, dual temperature control and enough space for all 15 of us. An absolutely gorgeous place. And the pontoon was the icing on the cake!!

A Gem in the Woods

This stunning cottage in the woods was perfect for our family of 14. Check-in was a breeze, with Renae stopping by within minutes of our arrival to greet us and answer any questions. The beautifully appointed cottage was spacious, with multiple seating areas included. Sleeping accommodations included bedrooms on all floors, with the bunk area being a huge hit with our grandchildren! The large screened-in porch offered beautiful views of O’Brien Lake (a lake perfect in size for kids of all ages). The fire pit seating area, yard, private beach, dock and pontoon boat were added bonuses. A huge thanks to Matt and Renae for providing us with this amazing little piece of paradise. We hope to one day return!

Great place!

The house looked exactly like the pictures - not always the case with VRBOs - and was immaculately clean when we arrived. The hosts made it super easy to check in, and the house was very comfortable. Cooking and clean up was easy in the kitchen, and the outdoor grill worked well. The lakeshore was perfect - enough sand for the little ones to play, good swimming for the older ones, and the pontoon was pristine, ran well. We hope to return again next summer.

Awesomely unexpected

This is one of the nicer cabins we’ve stayed in. Not huge, but the use of space was excellent and very adequate even for a larger group. They did a great job of balancing the vintage field of a cabin from the old days with all the modern luxuries necessary. They also go above and beyond with a great dock and pontoon you could use. We have a rental ourselves and got some good ideas from this one.

Beautiful Property - We Will Return

Our family spent the Christmas holiday at Pinecone Cottage and enjoyed a magnificent time. The property is beautiful. The home is new and you could see that special care was used when planning, decorating and accessorizing this property. The attention to detail was amazing. Pinewood Cottage was a great space to accommodate our family of nine and our sweet puppies. The spacious great room was perfect with the beautiful fireplace giving a warm ambiance, and the addition of the Christmas tree and holiday decor were so appreciated. The kitchen and dining room made it easy to prepare and enjoy our meals and they literally had everything we needed. The bedrooms were perfect with comfortable beds and bed linens, and the numerous baths made it easy to prepare for the day. The spacious family room/bunks were a great place for our grandsons to enjoy their own space. In addition, the owners were wonderful. They did everything possible to meet the needs of our family and to assure we had an exceptional stay. Thank you so very much. As a family, we loved Pinecone Cottage. It provided us with the perfect accommodation to celebrate Christmas . . . and we hope to return when temps are warmer, to make new memories, and to make use of that lovely, screened porch and enjoy beautiful O'Brien Lake.

Family Christmas

This place is charming from the moment you turn into the driveway. Each year we rent a home to have our family Christmas. This home was well thought out and had all the space we needed. The kitchen had plenty of room for everyone to gather and prepare meals. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom making it comfortable and private for everyone. The beds were very comfortable. They decorated the house and even had a Christmas tree lit when we arrived. This was a fantastic experience.

Fall getaway

My wife and I had booked this cottage with her parents to spend some quality time together in the Fall. Unfortunately, we weren't feeling well and couldn't make the trip. However, my in-laws went on their own and mentioned how relaxing and restful their time there was. My mother-in-law appreciated how well-appointed the space was. They enjoyed the fireplace, outdoor walks, fall foliage, and cooking on the grill. I had a few exchanges with the host before the trip, and they were always very gracious and accommodating.

Gorgeous property!

Fell in love when I saw the photos online. This was our third stay on Lake O’Brien. The first 2 stays were with a different family member who has rentals. The cabin comes with everything you would need for a long week or a whole week. Had more than enough room for 4 people + 2 small dogs. The weather was cool and somewhat rainy. Spent most of the time indoors vs outside. Wished we could have used the fire pit but due to dry conditions we did not. We will be coming back next summer to this lake.

Great Family Gathering Spot

This place could not have been any nicer, frankly the pictures don’t do it justice. Hosts are super easy to work with and the checkin process couldn’t be easier. The accommodations are first class and the cabin literally has everything except for what they tell you to bring. Stayed here with my wife, our two girls, my wife’s parents, and her sister from CA. Everyone had their own space and bathroom, it was wonderful.

Wonderful cottage, perfect for large family!

Pine Cottage was beautiful. It is laid out perfectly for big gatherings. Our family, 14 of us, met there for a wonderful weekend. We had bonfires, fished off the dock, fished in the pontoon and played games. Our kids loved the bunk space. Each room had access to a gorgeous bathroom. The kitchen has all the tools needed to cook for large family meals. We can’t wait to go back.

Girls getaway

My friends and I had the pleasure of staying at the Pinecone cottage for 5 days. The cabin exceeded our expectation in every way and communication with the owners was just as nice. We did not experience any issues or problems while there. Upon arrival the cabin was very clean and immaculate. This property is well appointed and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage in every aspect, especially the fireplace on the main level and the screen porch. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Amazing!

My Boyfriend and our dog stayed at the cabin for an extended weekend and we had a great time! The cabin was way more than what we need but for the price and location we couldn’t have picked a better place! The cabin had everything we needed and more. The view from the porch was absolutely beautiful and I made sure to enjoy it every day!! Matt and Ranae were great to work with and we will definitely be back!!

St. Patty’s weekend with the double cousins

Love, love, love this property! We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this one was our favorite by far. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. There was so much room to spread out and the bunk room in the lower level was so stinking cute. Although we had no littles with to occupy that space, we talked about planning another stay with them! Every space in this house was cleverly designed and decorated. Well will be back forsure!

Cozy Spot on the Lake

My wife dog and I went for a weekend trip and had a great time. The house is stunning and cozy with great amenities like a Sonos sound system and porch looking over the lake. Would recommend and return.
