We met up with family in Denver for the weekend and this house was the perfect size for our group. There was plenty of space to spread out. All the amenities were a hit with the kids - movie room, game tables and the hot tub were all used and enjoyed. The location was great being only a 10 min walk to the zoo & natural history museum. The house faced a large golf course so the perfect place to go for a morning run. All in all a great house!
The host was very nice, and let us check in early. The house was large and for the most part very nice, but it was all the little things that started to get annoying. We specifically asked the host if the house would be cleaned, and even though they told us it was, it was clearly not. There were cobwebs in every room downstairs. The ice machine had been left on so it was one giant block and un usable. The beds in the basement are a modified Murphey bed, that barely stays open, and the other room has zero support. I will say be careful who stays downstairs you can hear every creak and sound from upstairs. The master rooms are nice, but the house was just not maintained. Shower handles are loose, towel racks and cables are loose in the wall. The furniture is broken. There are also cameras throughout the house and outside which we weren't sure we were being watched. Also multiple packages were stolen (that is not the owners fault). If you have a large party, it is an affordable rate close to downtown with a hot tub, but I would maybe spring for something nicer.
House is a former beautiful home. Current owners and property managers arenât caring for it. It was filthy when we got there. We had to clean the fridge just to put our food away. The property managers strung us along with promises of housekeeping and additional supplies that they neglected to add. When I reached out to VRBO, they would not work with us to get a different property or fix any of the broken issues, such as the garbage disposal, etc. Pictures are from the Zillow listing six years ago. It is not representative of what we found.
Had a great stay, 8 adults and 2 kids. Theater was very helpful on a bad weather day, as were the poker chips and playing cards. Property is well maintained, and has a lot of nice features. Excellent for a large family.
Marketed and priced high-end, this property is not that. Does not deserve premier host status. We chose for size, and photos looked lovely...we should have looked closer, it's seen better days. Sparsely furnished (especially the bedrooms; only a bed in most, no nightstands, no lamps, no TV's (just a cord and outlet on the wall). Oven was dirty, crumbs and everyoneyouknow's leftover silverware in a mishmosh in drawers. Same with plates, pans, etc. Not a broom to be found (we dropped a glass). Laundry room looks like a staging area for all of their rental properties. Grass in back foot-high and full of weeds. Kicker was; when we arrived, we were met with a note stating they'd "just" experienced a flood and had the carpets still drying downstairs (where two of the bedrooms are). The note looked older and reused and the smell told us the carpet had been this way for a while. Think they have an ongoing issue. Three couples walked around in wet socks for the four days we were there. Offered us simply a cleaning fee in return. Cleaning is not the problem here. Would not recommend. At all.
