My experience with the property management company has been extremely disappointing. Their job should be to ensure guests have a great stay, which does include a great experience, not just a comfy bed and a soft pillow to lay your head on. They failed to fully grasp the impact of the few mishaps that occurred. When I spoke with the property manager, Kelley, rather than listening and addressing my concern with intention and understanding, she asked me to tell her how the front door not locking was inconvenient. When I explained it’s a safety concern and in my mind I’m thinking this is inconvenient because this is a delay, which did take about 4 hours to fix. This is an interruption in our day. Her response was condescending, telling me well, I don’t have to check in early and I can come back at 4, as if me actually checking in early was my fault. You all told us the room was ready early. Let me repeat READY. She made me feel as if I was wrong for feeling the way I did.To add to the experience, upon entering the room for the first time we were welcomed by a random man who turned out to be maintenance, but this was not the best first impression. Boxes on the floor, music playing. Never had this happen in my 10 years of coming to Destin. It’s unacceptable. They also gave us the wrong info as to which reserved parking spot to park in so at 10pm we get asked by the security guard to move our car. The room is nice but the service is not worth it!
