We had an overall great stay at this Destin VRBO. The home was exactly as described—spacious, clean, and located in a safe, gated community. It was a great setup for our group, and we really appreciated how friendly and visible the community/security staff were throughout our stay.There were just a couple of issues worth noting. The hot tub was difficult to use, as there were no instructions provided for the controls. It ended up being a bit of a guessing game trying to figure out how to operate it and keep it warm, which took away from the experience.Additionally, after checkout, I was contacted about missing community bracelets that we were apparently responsible for. We were never informed about these upon arrival, nor were we asked to verify or count them at any point during our stay. While there was a basket behind the door mentioning the number issued and a replacement fee, this wasn’t clearly communicated in the house rules or by the property management team. Because of that, the follow-up felt unexpected and somewhat frustrating.I would also recommend that the towels they provide suit the amount of guests the house can accomodate. We ended up washing towels more often than one would want to on a vacation. Overall, this is a great property in a wonderful area, but clearer communication—especially regarding amenities and expectations like the bracelets—would make the experience even better.

Overall our stay was good. We had a large family gathering and there was penty of room for everyone. The proximity to he beach is great and the neighborhood is good. We didn't like that you are not allowed to use your own umbrellas at the beach. That is a weird and useless rule. We also had issues with the pool and hottub heat, but the company was responsive and it was sorted out. Unfortunately, it took a couple of days to heat up so we did not get to use it much. The house is a bit dated and needs new furniture in the living room. It is also very loud and echoes because of the large staircase, high ceilings and tile floors. It really needs some sound deadening. Lastly, there were quite a few roaches, and I inderstand it is Florida, so its a constant battle, but it needs to be addressed.

Great Beach Property for a Large Group

This house was great and we really enjoyed our experience in this area. The house is a very short walk from the beach and we enjoyed the private pool as well. I would definitely recommend this house for a large group!

Great location!

Nice property with a great location. Check in was very easy and very close to community beach access. Only complaints is the bathrooms could use a little updating and pool could be cleaned more than once a week with all the trees around. Overall great stay!

The property is well suited for a large group, and the location is excellent. Access to shopping and dining is very easy given the location of this property. The neighborhood management staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to easily accommodate four vehicles (3 SUVs and a minivan). The neighborhood appears to have a significant number of rules, but they are not hard to follow and the management staff was not overly picky about the rules. The house easily accommodated our party with plenty of space for all. The kitchen was a bit understocked in my experience as far as dishes and cookware. The pool was a nice treat to have after coming off a beach day. The private beach is wonderful. Our spot was moved all the way to the end of the private beach to give preference to gulf-front home owners, but not much you can do about this given Florida law. Overall, a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. Highly recommended.

A smoke alarm that went off every day. A beach house with a pool, but no towels for either. Minimal supplies (one roll of tolet paper per bathroom, no salt or pepper, less than one coffee filter per day, less than one laundary tablet per day, less than one dishwasher tablet per day.) All in all, an experience we would not repeat. For the price, luxury was expepected, instead less than mediocrity was delivered.

Destin beach house

We enjoyed our stay we had plenty of room, pool was amazing close to beach, it is a little walk but not bad two blocks. Hot tub didn’t hear but I failed to call till our last day so they weren’t able to fix it before we left. We’d definitely stay again should we be this way!

Great Location

We enjoyed the wonderful location, short walk to the beach. Property management was extremely responsive any and all needs. The pool and the hot tub were not exceptionally inviting as the pool was not clean when we arrived and the hot tub had issues. We had to call about it several times but I will say that each time we called someone came out. Cleanliness was not top notch which is the only reason I can't give the property 5 stars. The area around the pool was litered with toys and candy wrappers. Found candy under the cushions of the sofa and glass on the floor. The space for six girlfriends was great and the house is a good value.

Beautiful Destin

Basically the only complaint I have about my stay is that the Pictures of where the house is located was deceiving. I wanted and thought I was paying for a house located on the Ocean side, the view looks like you step out on a white sandy beach, but we had to walk about a block away. I wanted to watch the waves and drink my coffee. The view in the picture is actually through two house in front of you. The hot tub kept having an issues draining itself, maintenance was quickly there to fix that. Besides my view, the house is beautiful. The weather was perfect! ocean side

House is very close to the beach!

Our stay was very good. I would suggest new skillets and pots and pans. One pot the handle is nearly off. The furniture could use cleaning, many stains. The pool was very nice and only about a 5 minute walk to the beach.

Great Week with the Family

My father in law wanted to treat the entire family to a week away together. The property was great for all that were there…by the end of the week the Father and Mother in law were stairmasters and said they would have picked the first floor bedroom by the end. Other than that the conveniences of the location and extremely clean local beach was awesome!! Would do it again for sure.

Nice house but had issues

The number one complaint is lack of information regarding the property. Had trouble getting in because no instruction on how to open the door. Loud alarm when door opened and nothing on how to turn it off. When I asked was told to just shut the door. Nothing on how to use the TV services, swimming pool and hot tub. Contacted property management 3 times before getting anything taken care of. Swimming pool was full of bugs and leaves, couldn't get the hot tub to heat. Was told that it was serviced on Saturdays and since it was so windy, lot of leaves etc. just get in the pool. The filter and heater were on a timer but no other information and was never able to use the hot tub. Had to kill several roaches during the stay. There were hairdryers in only 2 of the 4 bathrooms so 4 women had to share. So no helpful information to make the stay easier but plenty of texts about fines if any pool bands were missing or the trash cans weren't brought back in by a specific time. I would not book again.
