We just stayed at this beach house in Destin and for the price we paid it was a huge disappointment. We tried to enjoy our trip, but the house had too many issues to ignore. The air conditioners were extremely loud, and we saw cockroaches inside multiple times. The furniture felt cheap and worn out, and the couches in the main house felt broken you would sink in the moment you sat down. The bedding had an unpleasant smell, and one of the bedroom lights didnât work at all the entire time. The guest house had its own problems as the toilet was loose and rattled whenever you used it, and the shower head leaked and couldnât be adjusted. There was only one water hose for the entire property, and it was broken for most of our stay. It only got fixed on the last day because we specifically asked. Communication was just as frustrating, since the contact number we were given was offline the entire time.We also noticed a âFor Saleâ sign out front, which made sense the house felt like it was staged with the bare minimum. Some of the furniture shown in the listing was not the same as what was actually in the house, and the lighting throughout was very poor. For such an expensive rental, the house felt neglected and absolutely not worth the price.
