« Hunt's Run Hideaway is a lovely place. It's in an area with dark skies (bortle 2 to astronomy folks) and has a nice creek running by the yard. We enjoyed walking in the creek and sitting on rocks. There were a pair of kingfisher birds that were present every time we went down there. We also saw red-tail hawks and a bald eagle (thanks for having bird identification books in the house). The house is in a valley, so we didn't see stars down to the horizon from the yard, but there were places...

« This was a pleasant surprise. The unit is spacious, clean and well-appointed. All instructions were clear and easy to follow. I really loved the star-gazing opportunity and, of course, the animals. My doggos loved the aromas of the farm :) Thank you so much for a great adventure. Only minus was my own fault since I didn't focus on how far the unit was from State College. »

« My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It is extremely clean, and the views from the porch are beautiful. At the cabin, we saw deer, a turkey, a coyote and 2 bald eagles (1 adult and 1 juvenile). We were lucky enough to see elk on our first night in Benezette. We finished our our getaway with a bonfire and s’mores at the cabin. I would highly recommend staying at this location. Communication was excellent as well. »

« Wanted to spend a weekend somewhere we'd never been. The apartment we stayed in offered the ability to be able to fix our own meals, sleep in comfort and be walking distance from a multi-flavor soft ice cream shop. We were from 2 hours away. Visited the Benezette Elk Center as well as some of the Elk viewing areas (though we didn't expect to see any, as it was the wrong time of day and season). We also took a short hike. « The property was beautifully kept. The inside was very clean and had a cabin feel with the decor. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay... pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, garbage bags, etc...There was easy access to the water down a short hill with natural step built in. We were able to fish and let the dogs play in the water, then up to the well kept yard to let the dogs sun themselves dry. »

« 15 members of our family stayed at Rich Valley Estate from August 9-15 2025.Check in couldn't have been easier. What a fabulous home, plenty of room(s) to sleep, gather or separate yourself to read, take a nap, watch TV or get some work in. The property is beautiful, we explored it on foot and with 4 wheelers. The swimming hole is a beautiful spot, but our kids preferred a pool which we discovered at Sizerville State Park - just a few minutes away. At night we had fires in the fire pit, showed...
