« We absolutely loved our stay at Fernweh! The quiet, seclusion and peacefulness was just what we needed. Loved the hot tub while drinking my morning coffee and listening to the relaxing sounds of the river. The cabin has so much character and we also loved the beautiful sites, waterfalls and restaurants the area has to offer. Thank you! »

« My wife and I booked this stay because we have too many kids, and we needed to get away. This cabin has everything we needed for the perfect, quiet getaway. Our only regret is not staying longer. Lesson learned. We'll definitely see about a longer stay here, next time. On another note, whatever the housekeeper, Lisa, is being paid, she's worth it and more. This place was absolutely spotless. »

« The cottage is decorated well. We had everything we needed for the weekend. The view is amazing, especially at sunset. We had a very relaxing weekend get away. »

« This cottage is the perfect “home away from home”. It’s so homey and you instantly feel comfortable when you walk in. The view is spectacular!! We forgot to write in their review books on their counter but I suggest you read them!! They’re great!! And use the hot tub no matter the temperature outside…you won’t regret it!! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! »

« The cabin was private, peaceful, and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The check in was easy. We saw deer and loved the outdoor space & screened porch and front porch. It was such a nice peaceful getaway! »

« Cabin was perfect for week or weekend stay. The host left snacks for us which was nice. She also had dog bowls for our pet. Cabin was very clean and just minutes from Desoto State Park. I will come back again. »

« We had a great time at the bass cabin! It was perfect for us. It's very private and has a beautiful view from the front porch. The off leash laws in the area are apparent as we received 3 visitors (dogs) during our stay, which we didn't mind. »

« We enjoyed our stay in Mentone. The cabin is a perfect location to Desoto park and surrounding points of interest. We had no idea there were so many waterfalls in Alabama! The cabin was very clean and decorated really cute. Very comfortable beds. Checking in and out was easy. The cabin provided everything we needed. The weather was not in our favor to see the sunsets on the back porch but we did take advantage of the fire pit and the marshmallow sticks provided to make s’mores. Great treat...
