« We had a great time. The cabin is very nice & always kept clean. We ate out 2 times the rest we ate over the campfire.We will be back next year »

« Hunt's Run Hideaway is a lovely place. It's in an area with dark skies (bortle 2 to astronomy folks) and has a nice creek running by the yard. We enjoyed walking in the creek and sitting on rocks. There were a pair of kingfisher birds that were present every time we went down there. We also saw red-tail hawks and a bald eagle (thanks for having bird identification books in the house). The house is in a valley, so we didn't see stars down to the horizon from the yard, but there were places...

« We had a great vacation with our family. Got to see a few nice bull elk in the field across from the house so that was awsome. A very nice location »

« Great communication with the host and simple procedure to get into the house. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed for the night plus more. We will definitely keep this one in mind if we need to do another overnight in that area! »

« My husband and I stayed in Benezette to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was wonderful! You couldn't ask for better hosts than Dean and Kristy. Super clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. Close to wildlife viewing. We highly recommend renting this property. »

« Cozy cabin in a great location! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook out meals, and there are lots of trails nearby! We're already booked for the summer of 2026! »

« This is a lovely cottage with many amenities tucked in along Penns Creek. The drive there is worth the trip with all the country settings and vistas. My favorite part is the screened in porch above the creek. We have stayed here before and will be going back again in the future. »

« It is definitely right out of the 1950’s or 1960’s but had everything we needed. Closer to the Little League World Series Stadium than I expected. Only 5 minutes. We would stay there again. »

« My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It is extremely clean, and the views from the porch are beautiful. At the cabin, we saw deer, a turkey, a coyote and 2 bald eagles (1 adult and 1 juvenile). We were lucky enough to see elk on our first night in Benezette. We finished our our getaway with a bonfire and s’mores at the cabin. I would highly recommend staying at this location. Communication was excellent as well. »

« Adorable cottage! Very clean! The front porch was awesome for relaxing. Only suggestion would be to remove the tree blocking the view from the porch chairs. Would definitely recommend others to stay here. »

« We had a wonderful time during our stay! The Octagon was clean and spacious! This was the perfect home to relax and unwind! We enjoyed the game room. We had great star viewing each night on the deck. The large fire pit was perfect for s’mores! We enjoyed exploring the land; checking out the creek, trails, and pond area. Joe was very responsive with any questions we had leading up to our stay. Just a couple notes and why we didn’t give 5 stars- the rooms were a little less private due to gaps...

« Quiet, comfy. »

« Wanted to spend a weekend somewhere we'd never been. The apartment we stayed in offered the ability to be able to fix our own meals, sleep in comfort and be walking distance from a multi-flavor soft ice cream shop. We were from 2 hours away. Visited the Benezette Elk Center as well as some of the Elk viewing areas (though we didn't expect to see any, as it was the wrong time of day and season). We also took a short hike. The drive took close to an hour from the Hilltop Hideaway. Although...

« We enjoyed our time here ! We really loved the place. It was absolutely beautiful!! It had everything we needed. The only thing that was bothersome was the ac was not working upstairs. But we would defiantly rent again next year for a longer period. Thanks for sharing your property with us. »

« The property was beautifully kept. The inside was very clean and had a cabin feel with the decor. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay... pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, garbage bags, etc...There was easy access to the water down a short hill with natural step built in. We were able to fish and let the dogs play in the water, then up to the well kept yard to let the dogs sun themselves dry. »
