« We loved our stay at the cottage! The layout, the two living areas and the well appointed kitchen made our 4 night stay very comfortable... the tea and coffee bar and the towel warmer!! All the beds were super comfortable too. We especially enjoyed the back of the property with the "swing house", axe throwing, and big fire pit!We would definitely love to stay again! »

« We had a great stay in New Castle. The house is located right of the main road but, it still felt private and secluded. The amenities outside really made this location. Great areas to relax and enjoy nature. There is an adorable coffee shop in town that serves breakfast and lunch. Roanoke is a 40 minute drive from town. I traveled with my elderly father so, we did not hike any of Jefferson National Forests. We are hoping to travel back in when it’s warmer to the joy the property and area more. »

« John the owner was incredible. He even provided my son and I a parking pass to the Virginia Tech vs Miami game. RV was perfect for us. I even managed to catch a bucket list musky on my trip! »

« So clean and immaculately decorated. In the middle of nowhere but 3 miles to the closest gas station and kid friendly restaurant bar/grill. Comfortable beds and toys and games for the kids were provided. We also enjoyed the music collection. Would recommend to anyone »

« Great stay! So honored to be the second guests! This place is adorable. Very well done. Stayed here with my husband and three teenagers. Came to enjoy a VT football game and to bring our freshman daughter home for Thanksgiving. We were all very comfortable and happy. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The primary bed downstairs is sooooooo comfortable! Didn’t want to get up in the morning, haha. We cooked some yummy breakfasts and the kitchen had everything we needed. You will not regret...

« We had a wonderful weekend stay for our daughter's wedding. The house has been completely renovated with the top-of-the-line furniture and appliances. Every room is exquisitely furnished. We LOVED the fire pit and smores which our hosts graciously supplied. The countryside was quiet and the night-time stars were spectacular. « A perfect getaway to celebrate the holidays! We visited Eagles Rest with my one month shy of 90 year-old mother, and two adult kids. We appreciated the welcoming amenities and meticulously clean and cozy atmosphere! Having two bedrooms on the primary floor was helpful for older guests, and the loft suite was beautifully private!
