The place was charming and unique with its presence on the horse farm. We loved the all the decor...tasteful and new, the bedding...high end and comfortable. The design of the place was intriguing with the cathedral ceilings, stone fireplace and proximately to the working barn. »

« This is truly a unique apartment on the James...It's rough hewn wood framing interior and Elizabethan-style decor lend an air of the spiritual and mystical to your stay. The master bed is SOOO comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. There are fabulous views from every room. Note that while there is room for 5 guests to sleep, there are only two bedrooms - one with a king size bed, one with a twin bed and one fold out couch in the living room area. « Stayed two nights while attending weddings in the area. A very unique and enjoyable stay. The trail down to the treehouse results in a quiet and secluded space - surrounded by forest and the sounds of birds. As mentioned in the listing, the path from the parking to the treehouse is a somewhat steep wooded trail, and there is a ladder up to the loft bedroom - so this would not be great for those with mobility issues. But for us, these things enhanced our stay, and we would definitely return. ...
