« Bathroom was nasty. Mold around the tub, toilet rock and roll when you sat on it. Water pressure, not so good. »

« It is being updated slowly. It smells like pond water and when you swim in the pool you smell the same after getting out. No vents in the bathrooms, very hot to shower. The A/C sounded like a Mack truck every time it came on. The staff was very nice and helpful. »

« Where we check in at was across the street from our room, room stunk, phone or tv didn’t work, toilet barely flushed, room was extremely hot took forever for it to cool down, had to ask for a extra sheet to put down under the door for the HUGE gap that was allowing bugs to come in the room and allow air out, found baby roaches all in the room, honestly the worst place I have ever stayed! Not at all worth the price! I wouldn’t recommend this to my enemy! »

« My wife stayed there and had 2 nights booked. After the experience from the first night, she ended up going to a different hotel in another town the second night. The main curtains looking into the room from the outside didn't close and there was a loud banging throughout the night. She slept maybe a total of 45 minutes the 1 night she was there. She did mention the staff was friendly. »

« Nice ambiance inside and out. Great AC and ceiling fan (we want one just like it now). It was a nice retreat after 6 days of college tours. Cabin is in the middle of lots of hiking and river fun. Nothing bad about the cabin, just be aware there’s only a couple places to eat within miles and their hours / days vary. Oark Country Store and Byrd’s are nearby and both are excellent. »

« An absolutely lovely place. Quiet, secluded but not lonely, and very peaceful. We loved seeing all the wildlife and visiting the local sites. I am already planning our next trip here! »

« There was a pad lock on the outside of the only door to the place. It was not a safe place to stay. I called VRBO 10 minutes after I arrived at the place I did not enter. I left and was on the phone with VRBO for at least an hour trying to get a refund. VRBO refused a refund telling me the place was fine to stay in. VRBO did not take me safety into consideration only the opinion of the host. VRBO and the host said to take the lock inside with me but the fact remains that someone could have come...

« Didn’t get to stay there. There is a creek you have to drive over to get to cabin. Was not able to see the bottom and huge rocks to drive over, was not comfortable driving my car over. Had to book a hotel in town. »

« Family get away over New Year. Very secluded and quiet. Would definitely stay here again. »

« The place was beautiful and looked exactly like the pictures. The lake was also within sight of the cabin as well. Host was fast on communicating and very accommodating when I asked for another day to stay. Will definitely come back again for the next trip here ! »
