« We spent the weekend at Mammoth Caves (about 25-30 mins away) and this was the perfect spot for us to spend our nights. The host made check-in and check-out a breeze and everything we needed to be comfortable was there.One thing differs from the pictures is they have now installed a full sized stove/oven to replace the hotplate and toaster oven. « Had a wonderful stay. Clean, cozy, quiet, comfortable. Great firepit area too! Since we were busy during the day, we were tired and did not utilize the fire pit like we wanted to. Great location to everything in the area. We would stay here again. »

« This is a a great little landing spot after sight-seeing during the day. It’s close to Mammoth Cave, has a great little cave to explore right across the street, and is less than 2 hours from Nashville. The apartment is super clean, fun, and perfectly sized/laid out for a family of 4. Our kids loved the music theme! Jay was also super responsive and a great host! »

« We had a total of 2 adults and 4 teenage girls and this was more than comfortable to accommodate our group. Upon arrival, everything was clean and the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked which was VERY nice as we did not have to travel with much essentials. There were even extra board games, a cornhole set and charcoal for the grill while staying. « We had a great stay, the shack on shortcut is a very cute and cozy place. This is on the owners property and a working farm. Neither bothered us but just a heads up. I also did not realize from the photos that the living area and recreation area are separate rooms which was nice. The bathroom is in the rec room with a step up into it. We were able to enjoy quiet evenings playing games and watching movies. We also spent time in the rec room and at the fire pit. If we are in the area again we...

« We actually stayed in a different vrbo by this owner because the original house need unforeseen repairs just weeks before our arrival. The owner was great to accommodate. The house we stayed at is old (typical in the area) but it was clean and didn't smell old at all. Typically in old houses it can be dusty and the linens have an odd smell but not this house. We could tell the owner took care of the place. »

« Cute little 3 bedroom room house that is very close to mammoth cave. Even a cave in downtown (less than a mile). Quiet neighborhood. Clean and simple home for the week. »

« Quaint rustic cabin setting was very comfortable for my family. We gathered from two other states and met with family from Edmonton to enjoy Thanksgiving. The cabin was the perfect size for us to gather and cook a large meal. We enjoyed our stay!! »

« Property is exactly as described - charming little place with an exquisitely comfy bed, a small shower stall in the bathroom, and a little kitchenette. We didn’t spend a lot of time there since we were in town specifically for a festival at Barren River Magic, but it suited our needs perfectly. « This home and property were very peaceful. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have had as far as cooking accessories, dishes and utensils are concerned. The porch swing took me back to sitting on my grandparent's swing. Now I'm the one watching the kids play. There were 11 of us, which should be a lot for one house, but I was always able to find a quiet spot to sneak in a nap. Kelly was a wonderful hostess and ready to answer my never ending questions. « We brought some of our family down for a fall break vaca… GREAT property! So cute and homey, fun upstairs for the grandkids area, 2 separate gathering rooms so adults could talk and laugh together apart from the kids playing. It was also good to have laundry facilities:) Very fun! »

"I enjoyed my stay in the National park. The historical cabins are conveniently located. Closed to the restaurants and trails. Cave tours are amazing. However the cabins are getting old and there was a persistent muggy smell inside. The AC was too loud. Even with my earplugs, I had hard time to fall asleep. "
