„Loved the location. The hotel and accommodations were very good. The breakfast; however, was terrible. There was nobody attending the free breakfast bar and they were out of most items. We went to breakfast an hour before it closed for the morning so there was no excuse for not having an attendant monitoring. There were a lot of people there for their breakfast and they were out of food.“

„The grounds were well maintained and mosquito free, the shoreline was flat rugged stone jutting into the surf. The stars were perfectly visible at night. Campfires are night with s'mores were great addition. The room was wonderful, comfortable, and quiet. We could only hear the sounds of the crashing waves which lulled us to sleep at night. I would stay here again or recommend it to anyone.“

„Both front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. However, the interior was dingy, the exterior was a total dump, and they seemed to be hosting a Harley convention. Around 15 bikers congregated outside the office entrance and partied late into the night. I was woken numerous times from bikers revving up their engines. I was disappointed and would not return. “

„Die Begrüßung in der Lodge war sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer mit Blick auf den See ein Traum und geräumig genug für 4 Personen. Die Kinder liebten den tollen und sauberen Indoorpool. Abends gab es ein Bonfire mit Marshmallows zum Grillen und viele nette Gespräche mit den andern Gästen.“

„We loved staying at this hotel with a room overlooking Lake Superior and with all the canal park had to offer. My husband was able to see a ship leave through the aerial vertical lift bridge on the canal. At the brewery next door, there were live cameras monitoring the port entrance, lighthouse and bridge. It was a great stay!“
