« Quite the interesting place. We were there on a Monday after a race weekend at the nearby RoadAmerica racetrack. Several shops and restaurants were closed until Tuesday. But what was open was good. We stayed in the historic old hotel building. The room was quiet small but considering the hotel age it was nice and clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed sitting at the small private beach. »

« Very good location Very friendly staff All really nice except a really major point when you travel for work and have to stand long working days: the breakbast is a joke and best to to drive 5 min to the next door diner. A pity really because this small hotel with this location has it all to be perfect. »

She kept going above and beyond to ask if we had everything we need or if there was anything she could do to make our stay even better. « I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The parking lot had multiple people loitering around who appeared to be homeless, and finding an actual parking spot for hotel guests was a challenge. Walking into the lobby, the smell of marijuana was overwhelming. Unfortunately, it only got worse in the elevator. It smelled like a hotbox, and there were dirty handprints all over the walls. Our room felt neglected. The blackout curtains were broken...
