Alan and Brenda Lockhart planted a vineyard and started making wine in their kitchen about 10 years ago. After Alan started entering wine competitions and winning bronze, silver, gold and double gold awards, it became clear that he had talent; so they began making plans for a winery. Seven years later it came to fruition.

On May 23, 2016 Hartland Winery and Vineyard opened on three acres of land south of Ashley, Indiana. Their mission is to produce "small batches and handcrafted" wines to bring you a unique and pleasing, wider variety of wines that are at their peak of flavor and freshness.

„Das Hotel wurde zur Übernachtung auf der Durchreise aufgrund der Lage an der Interstate und an einer Outlet-Mall ausgewählt. Das 2-Queen-Zimmer war ausreichend groß, ausgestattet mit Tisch und Stühlen aber ohne Kühlschrank. Das Waschbecken lag im Zimmer (Teppichbereich), saubere Dusche und WC extra. Das Fenster war zu öffnen und mit Insektenschutz ausgestattet. Restaurants sind nur per Auto erreichbar. Ein gutes Frühstück war inklusive.“

„The house was exactly what we expected—very clean, comfortable, and it smelled great when we arrived. The bedding was incredibly soft; we even looked up the brand of the sheets so we could buy some for our own home!The neighborhood was peaceful, and the home itself was quiet—perfect for a relaxing stay. „We were the first ten renters at this property. The house served us well. The 4 separate bedrooms were wonderful. We were there over 4th of July weekend and the town parade was walking distance. We only needed to walk across the street to watch fireworks. The toys for the kids in our group were wonderful. Washer and dryer was handy after being at the lake. The family has many pictures and Bible verses spread around the house. Something we loved!“
