„Nette Gastgeber und sehr große im englischen Stil eingerichtete Zimmer. Sehr schöner Ausblick über Lake Karapiro. Die Fenster zur Seeseite sollte man aber nachts schließen weil unten der Highway vorbei führt. Zur Gartenseite ist es dagegen sehr ruhig.“

„Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price“

Wir hatten das Gästehaus gebucht, welches wundervoll und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet war. Ein Highlight ist die Badewanne im Aussenbereich aus der man Nachts die Sterne beobachten kann. Das Abendessen in dem kleinen Restaurant des Hauses ist ganz hervorragend. Das Frühstück wurde uns im Gästehaus ...

„The property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. It was also quiet, apart fro the trucks on the main road, but this was expected. We were within a short walking distance into the main town area which was very handy for restaurants. It was a great central place to stay. Wed definitely stay again if we return to Matamata. “

„We arrived at this cute home after 24 hours of travel. We were so exhausted and were going to go out to dinner but had zero energy. We realized the owner had left us some staple groceries including a loaf of bread, and jelly. I had packed a tub of peanut butter and some chips in my luggage so we had the best PBJs and relaxed! Bonus there was even a bottle of wine in the fridge :) The view around the back was spectacular.“
