« L'accueil dans cet hôtel qui fait aussi pub et restaurant est très chaleureux. Les chambres sont assez spacieuse et la literie confortable, même si cela semble un peu vieillot...(c'est peu être à la mode en Angleterre..?) Toutefois, pour ce tarif on y est bien mieux que dans une chaine d'hôtel style F1... Bref pour un séjour sans se ruiner sur Durham et sa région, je recommande vivement cet hôtel ! »

« The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...

« At the last minute (day before) my accommodation was cancelled & I was given 2 alternative options, given the lateness I opted for one, it was good, but the instructions to enter underground car park & accommodation was extremely very poor, resulting in me getting very stressed & having to phone the letting agent, wasn't happy at all, they apologised & said they'd get back to me, after they read the instructions of an email I got, still awaiting their reply. Disappointed »

« Nice and comfortable place with everything you need, convenient stores 5 mins walk, there are bus stops, but I think is convenient to have a car and there is a great driveway next to the house and the beds are clean & comfortable. The only downside for me it’s not pet friendly anymore, she had a bad experience in the past with other guests and asked as soon as I arrived if my small dog would be kept in a crate during my stay. For people whom own dogs, we know that it’s difficult to control...

« Lovely little cottage, really clean & with nice touches- dog bowls & bed, children’s books, scented candles, local guide books. Fully equipped & sparkling clean kitchen. Beautiful view from the back garden & situated in a small village around a green. Only issue was that I couldn’t turn down the heating except by turning the (very modern) boiler off. Useful to have instructions on how to do this - also a printed (not just online) manual for the house. Lovely place & I would go again. »

« On arrival it was clear that the property layout had been misrepresented. Our family included 2 people who need significant assistance with stairs. As the description was 2 groundfloor bedrooms, we did not think there would be an issue. We found on arrival that the 2 bedrooms were actually on the 1st floor and the 3rd bedroom was on the 2nd floor. This caused considerable difficulty for our family, as there was a flight of stairs to the apartment. As per the consummer rights act we expected...
