« Honestly a very disappointing hotel. Online it looks lovely but the reality of metal construction without insulation means a boiling hot room that the AC can’t counteract and from others walking. The restaurant was comparable to Faulty Towers! We ordered a bottle of wine and after waiting for 15mins we’re told they didn’t have it, other drinks on the menu weren’t available, food was actually lovely but arrived at random times and the staff looked perplexed when asked anything. Also, and not...

« Positive Review Had a wonderful stay at Hantara Udawalawe. The place was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with excellent facilities. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to provide great support. The peaceful surroundings and overall hospitality made our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended for a relaxing family getaway! »

« A peaceful nature retreat with incredible fresh food. Our stay at Kalu’s Hideaway was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We loved the wholesome farm-to-table dining—tasting fresh red dragon fruit straight from the garden, sweet pineapples, mangos, and delicious Sri Lankan vegetables. The property itself is surrounded by nature. The butterfly garden was an unexpected treat, and waking up to the tranquil morning sounds of birds overlooking the Udawalawe reserve canopy was magical. « Amazing experience with safari booked via this stay. The hotel is located in the jungle of udawalawe and the hosts were absolutely lovely. A lot of food options just ten minutes walk as well. Only issue was the chanting on a megaphone which was very loud which started at 4am until 6am and monkeys jumping up and down and running across the roof so I didn’t manage to get much sleep! »

« no comment as i don't want to embarrace the hotel »

« Unfortunately, the owners cancelled my booking by emailing to Expedia. Nobody informed us and Expedia claims that they have not received any notification, so I am still waiting for my money reimbursement. The camp looked nice but did not seem to have been in use for quite a while. The telephone number is not working either. So do not book this camp! »
