„Classy Hotel in an 18th Century Georgian architectural landmark which was saved by the Hotel Company. Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover.“

„This was my second time staying in the hotel and i was disappointed unfortunately... My room had a weird smell when i arrived regardless of the windows being opened. The bathroom had seen better days, it was worn down and when i ran a bath for myself, I had to empty it and clean it myself as there were pubes(not mine) and other dirt floating in it... My duvet cover was dirty, it had some dried out fluid on the bottom side. The breakfast was poorly topped at 8:30 in the morning(still 1.5 hours ...

„Restaurant: Day1: very good service from the waiters. They all where looking proactivly if we wanted some additional drinks ore remove the plates. Day2: complete opositte. We had to call the waiter to remove the plates as they did not do anything for 30min. They took orders from the table next to us and left us sitting with empty plates in front of us with emty glasses. So service level depents on the team. Some are great "5Star" and some had some room for improvement.“
