Shops a restaurants are around a 15 minute walk away but once you start walking you are likely to walk pas a free tuk tuk you can jump in
I stayed with my 3 year old daughter and it was perfect

« The place is situated close by all the relevant beaches, especially Hiriketiya and Nilwella beach.
It is about 10-15 minutes to get to hiriketiya road where most of the shops/resturants are.
Its calm and tranquil at this place, away from the busy scene at hiriketiya road yet not to far to get there when you want.
Space to park if u have tuk tuk, scooter etc. The rooms are cozy and clean. Some good restaurants very close by.

« The stay here was great. Host very gracious. There are two separate bedrooms with double beds, a kitchen with a gas burner, refrigerator,dishes and pans, small dining room, patio with a day bed, washing machine. Bedrooms have a/c. Other rooms with ceiling fans.
WiFi worked well.
Host provided laundry detergent, shampoo, sun screen and mosquito repellent.
He also provided us with some great meals.
This is not high end, but my brother and I loved it. Would recommend to anyone wanting nice,...

« We had a calm and pleasant stay at Amara Villa. The rooms and the whole Villa are very clean and good furnitured. Also the stuff is very friendly and they a happy to help you with any questions. Beach is only five minutes walking distance away. You can also easily take the bus from the main street e.g.to Galle. »
