I’m allergic to most laundry detergent so we always bring our own bedding/pillowcases/towels etc, but it was great to have the backup blankets to use over our comforter. « Lovely weekend - House was very nice. Clean and well furnished/amenities. Fire pit in back was nice - firewood is available for a cost - but we found some in the woods. Directions were tough as the map on VRBO is not accurate. Host did reach out about it - but we all drove past it the first time! Appeared to be up near Jockeybush trailhead but was quite a bit south. Overall a lovely place and we had a great weekend. »

« 1890s Elegant mansion with great bones and almost completely restored. Pool would be big plus in summer and game room definitely a plus, though some equipment needed repair. Great location for our short family reunion of 6 adults and 3 tweens. Would worry about kids less than 10 or limited mobility folks as stairs quite tight or spirally and high. « My wife and I enjoyed a quiet peaceful few days in this lovely tastefully decorated and comfortable home. For us the location was perfect. We look out on the raging Great Sacandaga River. In the mornings we take an hour and a half walk on the dirt road along the river seeing waterfalls and rarely encountering cars or pedestrians. It was not our first stay in this house, and hopefully it won't be our last. »
