« Only one whinge the lounge could have been more comfortable but we have never struck a comfortable lounge seat anywhere we have stayed. We love to do our own cooking as you can only eat so much takeaway and having a full oven, grill and cook top was great. The main bed queen size was really comfy but I slept on bunk bed, which I had to put one mattress on top of the other to get a good comfortable sleep. « This is the second time we've visited the Low Head, George Town area and wanted to stay at the pilot station. We were not disappointed; these charming old buildings are in great condition for their age. We had trouble with the gas heater in our unit but Jodi from the kiosk came to the rescue. « Georgia and Peter are wonderful hosts. Our room was so comfortable and included everything you'd need for self catering. Loved the freshly baked bread and loose leaf tea. An easy walk into town. Deloraine Espresso makes the best coffee and we enjoyed our meals at The Empire Hotel. »
