Horrible Experience
This property had the potential to create a lot of positive memories over the weekend for the 5 of us... HOWEVER...
1.There was no heat when we arrived at 4:30pm Friday, and after several calls to the company, they finally sent over a furnace person 4 hours later, who was unsuccessful. He did manage to find 3 small heaters. We once again phoned and asked for a few more, as this was insufficient for a freezing house. As they weren't provided, we went to bed with our jackets, socks and extra blankets on.
2.The basement bedroom lights & plugins also did not work, which made it difficult to sleep the first night (heater finally kicked on by morning @31 degrees), so I took the couch upstairs.
3.In total, we placed approx.10 calls to the property manager and received several promises to get back to us with solutions. Those calls and solutions were not received, even when we gave them the whole day Saturday to fix the light and plugin issue (hoping there was another fusebox we hadn’t found). We returned that night at 9:30 to find that the bedroom lights and plugins still did not work.
TO KEEP IN MIND: Bring your own wine opener, because theirs is broken, and they really didn’t really care.
We have asked to be compensated for the entire weekend due to the constant phone calls and frustrating inconvenience at every turn.
I have enjoyed other VRBO properties recently, but I will not be recommending this property due to the management co.
