Schwer zu bewerten wenn man gleichzeitig auch den Preis im Kopf haben muss. Wir hatten ein innenliegendes Zimmer ohne Tageslicht, alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen und Dunkel und es liegt eben am Flughafen Drehkreuz - dafür sind 250 EUR einfach zu viel (2 kleine Kinder dabei). Das Restaurant ist teuer und versucht mit Reservierung eine Art Exklusivität auszustrahlen, gleichzeitig liegen die alten Pommes vom Gast vor uns noch unter dem Tisch. Alles ok für ein Flughafenhotel, aber viel zu teuer

First I was told I will receive invoice by mail after checked out a few hours later. After not receiving an invoice by next day I called reception desk but was told I cannot get an invoice as booked thru Expedia. I was also told it's not even possible to generate an invoice from their hotel system for me and to contact Expedia!!!??? Expedia was helpful and made clear I need to get an invoice from Clayton Hotel but only worked after they called them to make clear and I received bill for myself but I am still waiting for the 3rd colleague invoice. ==> What practice is this to deny an invoice at reception desk and afterwards by phone as paid my room at the hotel and invoice is mandatory for a business trip and company accounting!? ==> This is not acceptable and also getting told not possible to print a bill is a cheek! Please rethink this topic and

auf den ersten Blick ein schönes Hotel auch von Innen. Aber die Flurteppiche in den einzelnen Stockwerken sind auch schon arg in die Jahre gekommen. Das schlimmste ist aber , das hier ständig die Nachtruhe gestört wird. Entweder weil Kinder in den Gängen herumrennen, Erwachsene sich wie tagsüber unterhalten und Tür zupeitschen lassen. Die Zimmer sind alle sehr hellhörig. Wir konnten daher kaum schlafen auch wenn wir es an der Rezession moniert hatten. Die Betten sind so weich, da kann kein Mensch draufschlagen. Da ist ein Trampolin ja noch eine Oase - kurz um, nicht zu empfehlen!

Okay stay for one night, service subpar for 4star
Hotel it self is ok. What matters are the people and there is a big difference. Start with the shuttle from the Airport. Big shuttle bus, quite often. Our first driver, man well built, sat in the drivers seat and we had to arrange our baggage. Due inexperience some of the baggage what upright on their wheels and had a wild tour by rolling all over the place. On the return a compete different scenario. This time, the driver was a young, slim, blonde lady. She took the time, helped and arranged everyones baggage in a clever manner. There was no wild tour of the baggage this time. And after arrival she helped to unload everyones baggage! That is service and I am really wondering, why a slim lady is more capable of hard work than her male counterpart? Service at the desk. Nothing special. Didn‘t greet by name, fast checkin, no goodbye. Very straightforward and not personal. Service at the „bar/seating“ area. Table was still sticky from prior guests. Waitress took time to take the order. Other guest went straight to the bar for ordering after a long waiting time. When drinks were served spilling of one drink. Not very conviced for that price. Room itself: Room was ok. Main reason we booked the room was to be rested before the flight next day. Unfortunately the bed mattress was very worn and there was a dip in the middle of the king size bed. Wasn‘t quite enjoyable. On the other side there was a bath tub and the water had a good pressure and was hot.

I found the the shuttle service from the airport useless. The signage to find the correct bus stop is of little value, the bus was overloaded and I eventually gave up and hired a taxi. The serving staff are totally overloaded and the quality control on table cleanliness is non existent, but understandable due to pressure on serving staff.

Das Hotel ist ein typisches Airport Hotel. Die Lage ist für den Flughafen sehr günstig, in die Stadt eher schwierig. Wir durften früher ins Zimmer was uns sehr geholfen hat, alles ging schnell, alle waren freundlich und es gibt ein italienisches sehr gutes Restaurant im Hotel.

Our stay at Clayton Dublin Airport was very much a mixed bag. Welcome at the hotel was good reflecting a 4 star hotel. The Covid measurements were good but guest adherence was poor. Room was very comfortable, well equiped and met our needs as 2 adults and 1 child. Breakfast was a negative experience. Queue to enter breakfast spanned 30 metres through the hotel right into the lobby and reception area. We waited 30 minutes before being guided to a table. Breakfast was self service and the buffet/serving area was totally chaotic - No trays, no plates for to serve ham, cheese, etc on, no bread baskets/plates, no hot water for tea, both coffee machines out of order for longer than 5 minutes. Breakfast itself tasted good. We could not find a reason for this disaster. A manager was not available or visible.There were ample staff but younger members were lacking guidance. Improvements could be *´booking system to control people volume sitting at breakfast * 2 staff members placing guests at their seats * extend breakfast seating area during the pandemic to support Covid requirements * serve breakfast directly to guests during the pandemic to support social distancing This negative experience cost 1 hour delay in our day and affected our follow on events. We mitigated our planning, however for guests with flights or other deadlines then breakfast would not be possible as they would expected from a 4 star hotel! Sad - I have been a customer for 10 years but I will think twice!

Das Hotel hat unseren Weckanruf ignoriert bzw. total verschlafen. Wir haetten unseren Flieger nicht mehr puenktlich erreicht, wenn ich nicht alle 1 bis 2 Stunden wach geworden waere.

Wirkt auf den Bildern schöner als dann tatsächlich. Badezimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen. Ablauf im Waschbecken war defekt. Frühstück war ok, Shuttleservice zum Airport ebenfalls.

We work very hard to ensure that our guests have a really great stay but from your comments it is evident that the high standards that we aspire to were not met on this occasion, and please accept our sincere apologies. If a guest has a problem in a bedroom and contact reception, we immediately act to remedy whatever the problem is. In normal circumstances, we can easily resolve an issue such as heat or noisy fellow guests, but we are really sorry that you were so inconvenienced.
