It was a lovely stay. The condo was very clean. We had a little difficulty with the cable tv at first, but the host walked us through getting it to work. All in all, we really enjoyed the condo.

I thought it was a good value. The window air conditioner units are noisy and not effective. The location is good and it was exceptionally quiet. The bed good be better and covers could be lighter and less bulky.

THE CONDO WAS HOT! I don't like to complain but please consider this if you stay there in August. The two window units did not begin to cool off this condo. When we checked in at 4:00 it was so hot we could not cool the condo down for sleeping that night. The upstairs bedroom & bathroom was not useable the whole time. The downstairs bedroom got cool if you shut the door, but that made the rest of the condo rely on the living room unit. We paid 1200 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo and I had to sleep on the couch in front of the air to be able to get any rest. I want to give them a 1 star for how miserable we were the whole time we were there. But to be fair, it was extremely clean and probably a nice place to stay in the winter time. There is no cool air unit upstairs at all. Just a floor fan that turns the warm air.I emailed the vacation rental and they texted back and apologized saying it was hot outside and warm air rises so the upstairs will be "warm". I shared that I'm from Oklahoma where it was 95 degrees and we didn't come to Colorado and pay 1200 to sweat for 4 days. (If we hadn't spent our vacation money we would have checked out and tried to find a hotel) they sent a HVAC service tech. He said units were set on economy so he switched it. It did make a slight difference in the air temp. But the upstairs bed was not useable and the shower only at 7am. Please Put another window unit upstairs or don't rent the condo in the summer. It's not fair to your guests. Thanks

Great place to stay in Durango! It was nice to be close to the town. It took us a bit to find the unit the night we arrived. More specific directions/instructions would help to identify where to park near the exact unit & the stairway to walk up. Especially for people arriving in the dark. We'd seen reviews that mentioned the HOT loft sleeping area (in summer months). This was a concern to us prior to arriving. I emailed and asked if there would be a way to alleviate this heat prior to our arrival since we could be arriving later in the evening. I was told there are fans and things to help cool off the unit. We accepted that reply and hoped for the best. It was very hot in the loft when we arrived, despite the window air conditioners running on 2 of the downstairs windows. The upstairs was hot and uncomfortable to get our kids to sleep. We found 3 tiny fans "water cooling fans" in an upstairs closet, 1 large fan and 1 window fan. We set them up and opened windows upstairs to get air circulating and cooler air into the unit. It took some time and we all got to bed late. There were a few signs posted in the unit saying specifically not to have any open windows in the unit while the air conditioners were running. It said this would make them shut down. For this reason, we shut the windows after getting some air into the upper area. If this is a continuous issue for renters, it would be great to have a better solution prior to people arriving. Everything else was great!

The place was exactly as described. Checkin and out was easy. It was centrally located to everything we wanted to do during our stay. For families with young kids (under 4, or maybe your kids listen better than mine haha), it might not be the best place. The loft has an opening that looks over the living room, and of course the kids thought it was great to try and talk to us by leaning over. We ended up making upstairs off limits for them. Again, everything was as described, just sharing our experience in case it's helpful for anyone out there!

The air conditioning, stairs and parking were the problem. There are only 2 window ac's on the main floor and it took 1 complete day to cool the main floor. There wasn't an ac unit in the loft sleeping area, only a box fan. It never cooled off and was uncomfortable sleeping. The stairs were more than 2 flights, more like 3 or 4. This should definitely be noted in the add'l comments. Parking spaces should be marked better.

Our Stay in Durango

The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Check-in and check-out was very easy and straight forward. There's quite a few steps to get to the condo, and the upstairs loft was very hot. The A/C units downstairs didn't seem to be enough to cool the loft.

Just as advertised (all expectations met). Well stocked (kitchen, linens, nice towels, toiletries, nice pillows etc). Clean. Good communication. Great shower. If we get back to Durango, would very much want to stay here again.

Good stay

Condo was as presented on line. Comfortable place to spend a couple nights while exploring Durango. The stairs into the unit from the parking lot provided a few extra steps. :) Also note that the loft bedroom was warm ...we used the fans provided but found it a bit challenging to get cooled down. Not a big deal, just fyi.. Convenient drive to downtown. I would stay here again.

Durango Stay

Overall the Condo was clean and convenient to Durango and surrounding areas. The appliances worked properly. The TV operation was a bit clumsy but we managed. Unfortunately the second floor was not air conditioned. We had to jury rig window fans to provide ventilation air to make sleeping comfortable. We had a clogged bathroom sink that was not repaired during our stay. Also the exhaust fan in the 2nd floor bathroom did not work.

Loft is HOT

Overall the stay was great, located close to town, with a nice pool and hot tub on the property. Communication with manager was good. Only a couple of negatives. The sheet on fold out couch had definitely not been changed and the floor behind the couch was gross. Also the downstairs bathroom sink did not drain properly but was easy to work around. Biggest issue, LOFT IS HOT, not warm but HOT. There are two small window units,one for the downstairs bedroom (very adequate) and one for the downstairs common areas and loft (not adequate at all). I would definitely stay here again in the cooler months, but probably not in the summer months.

So much better than a Hotel

We loved the property. Lots of room, full kitchen, 2 baths and big living spaces. So much better than a Hotel. Minutes to downtown. We had a great time and it was nice to "eat in" once in a while. Everything was as promised. Great communication from the property manager, it could not have been better for us.
