« Had a lovely night away. Room was clean and nice to have a fridge with fresh milk for coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Outside areas are great for relaxing and nice to have an outside pool. In a quiet area but within walking distance to the beach, train station and town. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend. « We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. »

« Lovely new hotel. Bedroom with beautiful sea view and complimentary nice touches. A small table and chair by window would have been good and curtains let a lot of daylight in early morning but otherwise room was spot on. Disappointed that roof top bar wasn't open for majority of my stay and when it was open, it wasn't serving the food advertised on menu. Service in restaurant a bit slow and confusing around whether bar or table service and whether food available outside or not. Need more staff...

« The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The food in the Jetty restaurant was excellent and of a very high standard. The only negatives was the room we had was facing the inland road side of the hotel was very noisy in the day from traffic and appeared to be no air con in the room . The outside seating areas were a little tired and could do with an upgrade which was in sharpe contrast to the restaurant which was fantastic. « Nice sizeable and comfortable room. Unfortunately it was quite hot due to it being on the second floor and after a string of hotter than usual days, not helped by the fact that the heated towel rail (from the hot water system) couldn't be shut off. But a great old pub to stay in all the same. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. »

« The staff were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. On hearing we had a terrible cough they even arranged for lemon and honey to be sent up to the room for us. All in all an excellent holiday. »
